I booked this hotel as a stopover from Germany to Bastogne not expecting much, it actually turned out to be our favourite! Katya was the perfect host, we had the place to ourselves and we could use the house as if it was our own. We went out to look at restaurants for dinner (there are 2 Michelin star restaurants in the town, they’re very pricy though) but we found a fantastic Italian deli in the town and a carrefour and so rather than eat out, we made our own supper which was fab. The area has lots to see so we will go back and spend some more time there, and of course we will be staying with katya! Can’t recommend it enough.
Easy parking out front or on drive.
Lovely big shower.
Large bedroom, comfortable bed.

We had a wonderful stay at Chambre d'Hotes L'Ancienne Ecole. It is a beautiful period property in the lovely town of La Wantzenau. Katia is an amazing host, with passionate knowledge of the Alsace area. Nothing was too much trouble, with a tasty French breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

Katia os LOVELY. Her place is spacious, clean, well organized and she thought of every detail. I 100% recommend! There were even toys in the room for my little one. The pictures don’t depict well the place, is a lot better in person. Wish we would have stayed longer. Breakfast was great as well! Katia we left you a voice mail in regards to our oldest son.
