"This is a wonderful guesthouse. The location was ideal for us less than a 10 minute walk into the town centre. The room was very comfortable with fantastic tea and coffee facilities. It was quiet and well decorated. We parked on the road outside the guesthouse and were provided with a permit that was valid until midday. There is a wonderful café just across the road that is well worth visiting as well."

"Had a one night stay whilst visiting friends near Ripon. The hotel was easy to find and check-in was very straightforward. Our room was very well presented and modern. Very comfortable bed and plenty of tea and coffee with complementary biscuits. Bathroom was clean, ample towels and hand-wash, conditioner and shower gels were higher-end than you would expect. Room overlooked the sizable gardens which were well kept. Evening meal was excellent from a good choice of dishes. Good choice of beers too. I must compliment the staff who were always cheerful and efficient, from the cleaning ladies in the rooms to the bar and waiting staff. Nothing was too much trouble which was noticeable and such a pleasant change from other hotels we have visited. The decor was also excellent. Made the stay feel very comfortable and relaxing. Well done to all - we will be more than happy to come back."

"We arrived late Saturday night, the staff were welcoming and helpful. Diners were leaving the restaurant and having a late drink in the reception lounge, so we went straight down as the atmosphere and service was again great. The next morning the breakfast was brilliant and the service personnel and informative. The location could not have been any better for the historic part of town and a great starting point for a long walk on Sunday."

"This house is perfect. A lot of space, well equipped, nice and clean. We mossed nothing. The host is friendly and lives next door. Sehr schönes Haus. Gut ausgestattet und praktisch möbiliert. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Die Gastgeberin wohnt nebenan und ist sehr freundlich."

"The cleaner was fantastic, really helpful, friendly and efficient, if only other staff members had an ounce of what she has my review may have been different. The initial room smelt damp and fusty, to the extent of triggering coughs. The shower was cold and the shower drain was blocked so spilled over. I called and messaged the contact person and still waiting for response. The person my husband spoke to re changing room was rude and dismissive. The cleaner was kind, understanding and demonstrates more emotional intelligence than the two muppets put together. Don’t recommend and would not use again. I’m happy with basic but this was sub standard"

"We loved our time in Ripon, it was a lovely place with quite a few options for pubs, restaurants and places to explore, all within walking distance. The cottage itself was beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean, and Katharine made us, and our dog, feel very welcome. We can't recommend the Hayloft enough, if we are back in Ripon, we will definitely book it again, 5 stars! :-)"
