Romantic village hideaway for two. Great for walking and cycling.

Overlooking the stunning Church of St Mary's Boxford this special holiday home offers a unique place to unwind and relax. With a beamed vaulted ceiling in the bedroom and shelves of books to explore this property oozes charm and comfort.
Set in a great village location, with good local shops and useful amenities all close by. There are beautiful walks right outside the door. We are dog lovers and welcome one small well-behaved dog if you want to bring a furry friend. A small surcharge applies.

Suffolk is know for its amazing cycle rides along pretty country lanes and cycling is the perfect way to explore the surrounding villages. We have an off-road car port where you can safely store your bikes under cover. We have a couple of old but serviceable bikes you can borrow free of charge if you fancy the odd ride out.

Close to Constable country, Lavenham and many other beautiful Suffolk villages, we are perfectly situated when it comes to exploring the wider area and the picturesque areas of Suffolk. The coast is under an hour away by car and the smart shops and Georgian squares of Bury St Edmunds a 40 minute drive.

The Old Forge is a Grade II listed 15th century timber framed building converted from part of our home. The cottage is completely self-contained and is accessed via coach doors from the street. You enter an open plan living/dining area with kitchenette. Up the curling staircase is a romantic bedroom with ensuite power shower. We provide luxury soft fluffy towels and crisp Egyptian cotton linen for that extra comfort.

Cosy cottage in a beautiful village.
Marianne was a super host with excellent communication. The Old Forge was a lovely place to stay - wonderfully cosy, super shower, loads of books to read should you wish. Boxford is a pretty village too and was a great place to stay en route to Norfolk.

Beautiful place to stay in lovely quiet village
Property was well kept and in line with the description Clean tidy and lots of information to hand about the local area including recommended walks The lounge library with hundreds of books to choose from would be great for a longer stay Boxford is a lovely quaint and quiet Suffolk village with good local pub/hotel (Fleece Hotel) with good food when it’s being served, it doesn’t serve food everyday In easy driving distance of Lavenham and Flatford Mill as well as other local beauty spots We had a recommendation for breakfast to go to Old Joe’s from a couple we met in the pub and it turned out to be a great recommendation No contact required with owner but details left for us if we did Well worth a stay

Stunning Studio
Beautiful Studio with wonderful views of church Set in a charming village Studio has everything you need for your stay, comfortable and cosy. Both of us being keen readers, was glorious to be surrounded by so many books. The lovely owner lives next door, gave us perfect ideas for walks etc and made us aware she was there if we needed her.
