"Fantastic place!
We stayed in the hotel part of the resort - our apartment was big (even though it was the standard size) and it was spotless. The kitchen had all the plates, cups, and utensils etc you could need, and there was a washer and dryer with detergent.
We loved the many USB ports all over the apartment to charge phones etc.
Bathroom had a fantastic shower and was also spotless.
The only minor issue we had was that there isn't a lot of hanging space for longer clothes. If you have any longer dresses, I'd recommend bringing your own coat hangers and use the hooks rather than the rail, but as I said.. minor issue.
The staff are lovely, the pool is nice, the pub was popular (cooled with fans which was great) and the food was good.
We will happily book this again next time we're in the keys!"
"Location is good. Close to Key West with a comparatively affordable price. Would be nice if they had a beach for swimming. Facilities also need some uplifting. "
Old Florida Style, wrap around porch, boat basin for dockage, open water
8/10 Good
"Convenient location, great property. Seems to be they are renovating little at a time. The place is aged but was clean and worked great for what we needed. Would happily stay here again! Was great for kids and location was great! Thank you"
"Disappointing. We love Venture Out, arrived on Friday to trench on the right side of the unit. Saturday and Sunday was nice, enjoyed the porch overlooking canal. Monday workers showed up worked on trench, filled it in and starting digging on left side. Using an excavator, saws etc we could not sit outside. Hard to even have a conversation inside. This went on all week. They finished the trenching and paved on Thursday. Terrible!I notified host on Tuesday and she came over to apologize, very nice lady. I did list discrepancies for her; master bath toilet was not safe to use, one bolt to floor was missing and floor is rotting giving way when you sit down. The hall bathroom toilet had floor issues as well. Master bath sink faucet sprayed water sideways. The porch roof leaks severely during rain leaving puddles on porch. I had to continuously use mop. We could not enjoy rear patio area due to construction. I did report that the large concrete picnic table was crumbling and dangerous. Grill was filthy so we didn’t use it. I would think VRBO has a list of standards for owners to follow. We had to use a casserole dish to mix pancake batter, no bowl larger than a small cereal bowl. The unit needs upkeep and repairs, bathroom floor repairs and living room window replacement, could not see due to seal being broken, glass fogged. Host returned 10% for our trouble, said manager was going to stop by and return our park user fee 125 or so, guy never showed. Feel like I threw 2000 away!"
Just 20 miles from Key West! Oceanfront, dockage, swimming pool
10/10 Excellent
"Great location for all we wanted to do. The house is an older property and could use a bit more maintenance but it worked well for us, not fancy but very clean! "
