Classic British Hotels hotels in Sunderland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne

"A nice hotel, but I was disappointed with my last day. I stayed for 5 nights and asked for a late checkout on the final day, only to be told checkout latest was 11am and every hour after would be a charge of £30. This seems a little extortionate and as a frequent traveller and user of this hotel many time before, a little user unfriendly. I understand they have to clean the rooms and make ready for other people, but surely there is a more customer friendly way of dealing with this. "

"I give a 3 star rating in the facility area as the beds and pillows fealt like I was sleeping on building site materials. The bed was solid like what I’d imagine sleeping on a concrete block would be like and the pillows were like sand bags. So uncomfortable I hardly slept but that aside I couldn’t fault the place otherwise"

"Easy check in and room was lovely. Dinner and breakfast were very good Cons - couldn’t connect to WiFi and no phone service with my network. Hot tub wasn’t warm or powerful enough. Would have stayed in longer if it had of been the case "
