Hotel from the outside looks very dated and shabby. Staff helpful and Room was clean and looked like the pictures, the £10 parking fee that was a surprise. Location is not very central so a taxi into Cardiff will cost approx £15 to £20 pounds each way just something to bare in mind

The room was very disappointing, the sheets were clean but the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly and the toilet seat was still dirty. The property itself was in disrepair and needed a full facelift. The main issue was how we were told the room was not longer available due to overbooking (Metallica concert) and then being emailed to say we had got a room followed by a phone call to say we hadn’t. We turned up not knowing whether we had or not (there were multiple other customers there doing the same thing) but we got told we had one of the staff’s rooms instead of our original booking. Not sure if this contributed to the poor cleanliness but either way we would not recommend. Only good point was the location to the stadium.

Booked a 3 bed room for an overnight stay for a concert in Blackweir Fields. We could park right under the hotel, so a good start. The room was very spacious with air con, tea & coffee facilities and very comfortable beds. Both a shower & a bath in the bathroom. The hotel is ideally located to walk to & from Blackweir Fields, and also to the city centre. We opted for breakfast as well, which was very good, with a full selection for all tastes & diets. Overall a very pleasant stay and we will certainly use this hotel again for any future visits to Cardiff.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel advertises that it has parking, but when we arrived, there was no parking available despite this being listed as an amenity. To make matters worse, we were initially given a room that had clearly not been cleaned. The bed had been slept in, the room was dirty, and it was obvious it hadn't been prepared for new guests. Having to return to reception immediately after checking in was not the start to our stay we expected. The hotel also looks nothing like the photos advertised. When I raised this with staff, I was told that Expedia hadn't updated the images. However, the exact same misleading photos are also displayed on the hotel's own website, so this explanation doesn't hold up. The room itself was poorly equipped, with no hand soap provided in the bathroom, which is a basic expectation for any hotel. It was also apparent that the hotel is being used to provide emergency council accommodation, something that is not disclosed when booking. The presence of food parcels in reception made this obvious. Had this been made clear beforehand, we could have made an informed decision about whether to stay. Finally, when I asked the member of staff at reception for an email address so I could raise my concerns with management, he refused to provide one.
