Most impressed by:
The Staff, they were lovely.
Breakfast was delicious.
Entertainment, Colin Mills was outstanding.
The bedroom was bright, airy, clean and nicely laundered.
Not so good:
Lift didn't go to top floor where we stayed so we had lots to carry, which was quite difficult for our party.
Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.

We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the wifi worked.

Could just cope for one night. It’s extremely dated, the heating was an old electric heater and didn’t really heat the room well, I was freezing and had to put layers on for bed because the duvet was very thin too.
