The location is unbeatable, almost at the bottom of the island of Ortigia but within 20 minutes walk of central Syracuse. The staff are among the most welcoming and helpful I've ever met, with excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat. A real hideaway holiday!

The Charme Henry house hotel is an old hotel and rustic. It’s the staff that makes this hotel work. Warm and enthusiastic, they go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The breakfast selection is superb. Yes I would stay here again. Keep in mind the street side is noisy. Recommend you use their valet service, driving in Ortigia is bad enough, parking is problematic.

This is a charming and unique hotel in Otigia. Very well located for dining and shopping. Excellent breakfast - terrace with grapevines overlooking the bay. Parking was pricey $30E per night. Can be noisy weekend evenings.

We would highly recommend this hotel, it is quirky and unique, the staff are attentive and helpful, it is ideally located for sightseeing around Ortigia, the breakfast is fantastic also, we will return again to Henry’s house

One of the most eccentric and beautiful places i have stayed. I believe it was Francesca and her colleague who gave us amazing service from checking in to check out. They offered secure parking with Silvio who was also a delight. It was such a special room with stunning views. Ortigia and this hotel were the highlight of my trip to Sicily. They gave fantastic recommendations. If I ever return to Ortigia, I will no doubt stay here and stay longer. The BEST!

Great location and the staff was lovely. Room was quite small and the shower was tiny. It's an old, quirky property so you shouldn't expect it to be more than that. For the amount of pedestrian and auto activity it's very quiet and the terraces are very nice.

Unique and charming property in fabulous location. Friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, gorgeous terrace with wonderful view for enjoying glass of wine, coffee, conversation. Easy valet parking in limited traffic zone and walking distance to nearly everything!

This was one of the sweetest, indeed most charming, places we’ve ever stayed. Great location, rooms, everything. Breakfast on the terrace, overhung with grapes, overlooking the Ionian Sea, was also a treat every morning.

Perfect spot!
We loved this little piece of Ortigia. The staff is delightful (and very helpful), the art is various and fun, the rooms are a nice size, the breakfast was terrific. We found the location easily and were able to walk everywhere. Thanks!

This entire property is unique! Our stay in an ocean view room did not disappoint. We loved how welcoming and personable the staff were. Although we stayed only one night, we nearly changed our plans to stay longer because we enjoyed the experience so much. The breakfast is fantastic and the lounge area is perfect for a glass of wine at the end of the day. I will stay here next time I am in Syracuse.

Perfect place to get you in the mood to visit Siracusa - old traditional villa on the waterfront updated with a quirky collection of artwork and objects d’arte. Great use of the available space and our room has a lovely terrace with terrific views!

Charme Henry's house was charming
While a little tricky to find in Ortigia's narrow streets its beautiful when you find it. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are individual, quirky and spotlessly clean. Everything in the mini fridge is complimentary. We were in room 311 and the view over the sea and sunset was to die for. The breakfast was fresh and everything you would expect from a continental breakfast. You could have the breakfast inside or on the terrace overlooking the sea, which we did because the weather was great for the middle of October. They arranged for a private car company to collect our car from the hotel and we would give them roughly an hour's notice for the car to be delivered to the hotel for use. There is only room for 1 car at the front of the hotel, which cannot be left there due to the narrowness of the road. The private firm charge 25 euros a day. The hotel supplies towels for the beach free of charge if required. The hotel lounge is lovely with a small bar, which we never used because we were out all day and there were mini cannolis are the reception desk for clients to pick at when passing. Fantastic quiet hotel - recommend it.

Henry's House is brilliant. The breakfast is top-notch. The staff couldn't do enough for me. I loved the rooftop and first-floor terraces. The location is great - quiet but still close enough to everything in Ortigia. Book here - you won't be sorry!

wonderful hotel in Ortigia
Henry’s house hotel was wonderful - it has amazing eclectic furnishings and decor which gives you a genuine feeing of Italian tradition. With a beautiful vine covered terrace overlooking the sea where we sat to watch the sun setting each evening was just perfect. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating making you immediately feel at home, the breakfast is a delicious feast of fresh fruits, cereals, meats, cheeses, omelettes, bread etc and so well presented. We were so sorry to only be staying 3 nights and would certainly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Siracusa.

The staff is outstanding ! Francesco is amazing and knowledgeable The complimentary drinks are wonderful Our bed was rickety and made noise and shook everyone we moved The window has a v light curtain so the street light kept me awake The shower door was very difficult to open and close in room 415 Unfortunately we had only a standard room which was available when we booked Our friends had booked at the same time but they had a much better standard room So I guess our luck of the draw was bad ! So try and book early avioid room 415
