"Great hotel in downtown Cape Town. Opted to stay Concierge level in the historic part of the hotel, and loved the old-world vibe. Rooms are beautifully appointed, Food in Mint Restaurant was very good, and excellent at Bombay Brasserie. Service at both was stellar. Incredibly warm and helpful front desk staff. Would definitely stay here again."

"Amazing property with amazing staff. Can’t recommend enough. 8 mins walk into camps bay; yes it’s a hill but think of it as your steps for the day plus you get the views of the bay as you drop down. Breakfast really fab plus pool area lovely. 5 stars to all the staff there"

"Our stay at Derwent House was exceptional. It was a lovely facility, clean, beautifully decorated with African art. The breakfasts were fabulous--many choices hot and cold, tasty and filling. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is close to dining on Kloof Street and reasonably priced Uber rides get you to all the sights in the city. We could see Table Mountain from our room. I can't say enough good about this establishment and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Cape Town!!"
