"Stayed 3 nights... Pros: New hotel (Oct 2019), clean, quiet location. Good breakfast. Nice view of the area from room. Pool and bar area on roof was nice. Con: Bit of a walk to anything. Restaurant slow to replace food at breakfast, and not enough tables for everyone during the breakfast rush. Because it is new, some taxis and tuk-tuks (thone-bane) did not know the location. "For a trad sort of hotel in the downtown part of Mandalay this place gets a thumbs up ... close to the train station (maybe a consideration as the bus station is a huge way outside the city) with attentive staff and a buffet breakfast in the wide windowed top floor gallery. You might not enjoy the challenge of walking everywhere as I did, but you wouldn't regret staying here. The manager is affable and speaks good English."
