"I came in on the overnight bus from Yangon, arriving to the hotel at 6:00 AM. I thought I would have to hang around until the afternoon to check in but they got me to my room right away. This hotel is so new I think I may have been the first one to stay in the room. You could still smell the fresh paint. The facilities are very nice; the staff is excellent; the porters/bell boys are helpful without pushing; it is the shortest travel time I've had getting back to the airport; looking very forward to my return to Paragon next week! The building is in desparate need of attention, but i guess with little to no tourists visitng the country, it makes it dificult to invest in repairs and updates. The staff are great. "I've stayed here before, so I was very disappointed that I was treated so badly this time. I was put in a room where nothing worked. All of the batteries in the remote controls were dead. I had to call down to have them come up and fix things. The worst though was a shower that didn't work. They tried to act like the fault was that the city was shutting off the power at certain times during the day, but my friends in other rooms had no such problems.
