"Our stay at Novotel had its positives, but overall the property is in need of some serious maintenance. The rooms felt quite tired, with noticeable wear and tear throughout. In our room, the windows had black condensation stains, and both the furniture and bathroom looked dated and worn.
The facilities, including the pool, also didn’t feel well maintained and could definitely use some attention.
On the plus side, the location is excellent, and we really appreciated the kids’ room—it was a great touch for families. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very attentive and friendly, which made a difference to our experience."

"Pretty run down to be honest, when you book places like rydges you expect the standards to be the same across NZ, was just really old like the whole place a referb is much needed"

"It was a good deal for a night. The room was clean but the door to the bathroom was not working and we had issues with the water as it started to get colder after every shower. Only some minor inconvenience but it was a really good stay. Will book again if we see in the area again.👍"

"Room was clean but a little dated. Bathroom sink was very small. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Had lots of information about local attractions and activities.
Had functional guest laundry which I used.
Stayed an extra night due to weather events.
