My husband and I stayed at Belmond Santa Andrea in Taormina to celebrate my birthday. The property is in a prime location, beautiful views throughout. Room service is amazing, restaurants are ok. Staff is friendly, some are a little serious/ pretentious. Rooms are outdated and restrooms are in desperate need of a renovation. There is mold in the shower’s. Not the best belmond property we’ve stayed at. Definitely room for improvement. Wouldn't stay here again unless renovated. The staff at belmond timeo are better trained and food is much better up there as far as restaurants and bar.

Fairy tale trip

This was our first trip to Taormino and everything was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated on the Ionian Sea. The town is cute and fun to walk around. The hotel staff was wonderful and very welcoming.

The hotel, location, size , professional staff, all made our stay fantastic. The pizza at the pool bar was the best we had all over Italy! My only negative was the price of wines by the glass, and it seemed that unless you specify a particular price range (which I learned quickly to do) they poured a very pricey option, $25-30/glass!

The interior is grand and the exterior amazingly colorful. The rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The bath supplies are top notch. The balconies provide a view like no other. The gardens are immaculate. The beach is private and well maintained. No sand, mostly pebbles, so get yourself a pair of beach shoes. Staff at the beach are very helpful. Bar / food items good. The staff is very attentive, helpful and professional. Amazing place.
