About this property
CASA FLORA Quiet & Cozy Downtown Plaza Apartment
Casa Flora is a complete little two room apartment just off Taos Plaza and close to everything Taos offers. Enter through a brick courtyard lined with summer blooming flowers and outdoor seating area for an evening glass of wine or a morning cup of coffee. Casa Flora has a living room/kitchen which is comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped for at home dining and can seat four. The living room sofa is a new queen sofa bed with gel foam mattress for two additional guests or children. Additional $25 per person per night which may be left at departure. The room is heated with a gas log stove and the skylight offers wonderful Taos light. The bedroom features a queen bed with premium bedding, good reading lights, cozy robes, and charming gas log stove with a decorative tile surround. Only operate gas log stoves from wall thermostats. NEVER turn off main gas line. The bath has a tiled shower and plenty of towels and bath supplies. Leave your hair dryer at home since I provide one. Casa Flora is located in an adobe building built in the 1880's and has wooden floors, hand hewn beamed viga ceilings and many multi paned operable windows. 14' thick adobe walls assure winter warmth and summer coolness. All windows are screened with perfect privacy and security. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen and another in the bedroom. I also provide a window air conditioner in the bedroom in case you are staying during our (luckily short) summer heat spells. Casa Flora is furnished with antiques, original Taos art from some of our exceptional artists and my sense of whimsy throughout. As with all of my properties I am dog friendly. I provide dog sheets for bed and furniture. Please use. I charge a dog fee of $75 per stay per dog which should be added when booking. If you choose to stay 30 days or more I offer a generous 30% discount. If this apartment is booked for your days please look at Vrbo 422849 or Vrbo 598600. Very similar and on the same street. Vrbo 598600 is an adjoining apartment and can be rented together with Casa Flora for larger groups or families. Vrbo 422849 is just upstairs in the same building.
Located in Taos, this apartment is in the city centre. Blumenschein Home and Museum and D.H. Lawrence Ranch are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Twirl Toystore and Playspace and Taos Plaza Theater and Arts Center. Taos Center for the Arts and Kakawa Chocolate House are also worth visiting. Enjoy the area's slopes with cross-country skiing, snowboarding and skiing, and don't miss out on the snowmobiling. Very nicely appointed, clean, quiet, comfortable casita close to the Plaza. Beautiful little garden courtyard perfect for a morning cup of coffee. Sufficient kitchenette for those preparing convenience foods, which was perfect for us. Tiny sink in the bathroom was a bit challenging but workable. Overall, very nice place to stay and we would stay again.
We had a fabulous time. Enjoyed being able to relax and bring the puppy. The location to the plaza was wonderful and enjoyed the ability to walk everywhere we wanted or needed to. Melissa was very personable and easy to get ahold of. We had everything we needed to feel at home and comfortable.
Authentic, charming Taos/NM decor. Very comfortable for two people. Excellent location. Would have liked to know more about the history of the property. Rustic cozy courtyard.
This is our 4th time to stay at Casa Flora. The location is perfect for our stay in Taos for a week long class. We will look forward to returning next year.
We just spent one night in our way though Taos with our 2 kids (10 and 12). Location was perfect for shopping and eating downtown and to get the local flavor. Accommodations were clean, homey, and Melissa was easily available for questions.
Simple and awesome space with wood stoves for the cold high desert. Enjoyed food close by and the ambiance of the space with good friends. Perfect for a snapshot to Taos and Northern New Mexico. Thank you for having us.

Love the location, private, easy in easy out. Great decor and comfortable. We were able to relax with wine in the evening, a little dancing on the kitchen floor and then made breakfast in the morning before leaving.
large kitchen area with refrigerator to store the food we brought and all needed kitchen items.
This is a delightful place to stay! While small, it is cozy and comfortable. Guests have all they need to relax and enjoy the area. The many shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The hosts are most accommodating and answered any questions with friendly and prompt answers. We would stay here again when in the Taos area.
The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The property itself is a delightful blend of Taos charm and modern comfort. It's impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The location can't be beat – just a short walk to the heart of town, with easy access to fantastic restaurants, galleries, and museums. If this gem is available, don't hesitate to book it!
Our apartment has to be in the best location in Taos. It is walking distance from everything. The apartment is so authentic! It is beautifully decorated, and it was very clean. We had a wonderful time. Our hostess was very helpful, and I highly recommend this place to anyone who was to experience Taos,
It was just what one would want for a short stay. Nicely decorated, well heated, working stove and referigerator, hot water, adequate light and outlets. A lovely little place to stay. the only drawback is that the bedroom was separated from the main area by a blanket. Since my son and I keep different hours this made it a little difficult to get to sleep but ear plugs did the trick.
We enjoyed our visit to Taos!
The apartment was in a great location, close to shops and restaurants. We brought our small dog with us, and just a note, there is not a lot of grassy areas around the apartment. So if you’re bringing your dog, you will need to take them across the street or on a walk. Overall love the apartment and location and would stay again on our next visit.
This unit is just a block from the main square. It was clean and cozy. It is elaborately decorated with Taos style antiques. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. The unit is rather dark during the day . At night, there are a lot of lamps and overhead lights but it is very dim for reading. There is a public parking lot directly across the street. It charges by the hour during the day but is free after 6pm until 10AM. There is parking close by a church that is 5 per day. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very small
The apartment was clean and the location is good. The lighting is not good, WiFi did not work, there is no closet for clothes and communication with Melissa wasn’t the best. I sent an email upon our arrival, which was a Monday, and still had not heard back when we left Thursday.
We stayed for one week. The location is very convenient for walking to the plaza and nearby shops and restaurants. It's also easy to use as a base for driving anywhere in the Taos area. The apartment has all the basics for eating in and it is quiet. We brought our dog and she settled in easily. Parking is a little bit inconvenient...across the street is free at night, but not during the day. Free town parking 3 blocks away is free during the day but not allowed overnight. So when necessary we shuttled the car. Overall though, great location, clean, and a good value.
