WOW What a view!
The views from this home are stunning. We arrived after a record snowfall and had to wait 2 days to get the road cleared - well worth the wait - the views in all directions were absolutely spectacular. The house itself was well equipped with everything we needed for our three week stay.

Perfect weekend getaway
We had such a great time staying near Capitol Reef. The house was clean and well appointed. We did puzzles, watched a movie, and when the snow flurries stopped hopped in the car and took in the majesty of Capitol Reef. The views from the house truly are incredible. The host was so easy to work with. We hope to come back!

Perfect Place to Enjoy Capitol Reef National Park
We loved this place the moment we arrived. Stunning view out the front window of the red rocks in the distance. Secluded location with no houses nearby. We saw two herds of 10 to 15 deer during our stay. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen had all of the utensils we needed to cook all of our breakfasts and dinners. We enjoyed watching large TV screen mounted on the wall. The only problem we encountered during our stay was the gas fireplace failing to light. Within a few hours our host had the problem fixed. We are five family members in our '60s who spent eight days hiking in Capitol Reef National Park and surrounding area. Couldn't have asked for a better place as our home base.

Perfect Family Getaway
The house was comfortable, clean, and had every amenity necessary to have a great time. Surrounded by field of grazing cattle but not a house in sight, what was most memorable was looking out the picture windows to witness an unobstructed view of the incredible sunrises and sunsets on the redrock cliffs. It was a perfect location for hiking and picnicking in Capitol Reef National Park and many other local outdoor destinations equally spectacular but off the beaten track.

Beautiful setting & comfortable home.
Plenty of space, clean & comfortable. The location & views can't be beat. Had some trouble with the furnace but the property manager was responsive to our text messages & we got it sorted out. Not a 5-star luxury experience but a very nice place to rest & relax.

Majestic views from the top!
This was a great property to stay at for 2 nights while visiting Capitol Reef. There was plenty of space for the 2 families visiting and we took advantage of the outdoor deck and enjoyed the views from the all around. House was nice and clean and had a nice stocked kitchen for cooking in. It was an easy drive to Capitol Reef.

Hilltop Home 5 Star!
We loved staying at the Hilltop House! The views from the house at absolutely breathtaking. Just a 20 minute drive to Capitol Reef National Park. The house is well appointed, clean, and very spacious. It comfortably slept our family of six, with plenty of room to spare. Air conditioning worked great in the 95+F heat! Our kids loved the swings outside and exploring the Lion’s Head Trail nearby. Perfect spot for a visit to Capitol Reef National Park. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay
This home was perfect for our visit to Capitol Reef National Park. The views really are amazing! There was plenty of room for our multigenerational family, comfy beds, plenty of towels, blankets, and kitchen supplies. The owner has thought of many nice touches.

Remote, but perfect for us.
Our family of 5 had a lot of room to spread out, and we had everything we needed. It was a little bit further to get to Capitol Reef than if we had stayed in Torrey, but we loved the remoteness of the house. We tried going outside to view the night sky, but there were too many clouds while we were there. I’m sure on a clear night, it would be fantastic as there is very little light pollution near by the house. We loved the fireplace in the little den downstairs, and turned it on every night and every morniing. I would definitely return the the same location if we go back to the area.

My girlfriends and I stayed here while we explored and hiked Capital Reef. It was perfect for what we needed. It was very clean and slept all 10 of us. I will stay here again if I ever return. Also, the view from the house is amazing.

We stayed here 3 nights in January to visit Capitol Reef and Boulder Mountain. The house felt clean and open. We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms and appreciated that they were in the same hallway to have the kids nearby. The bathrooms were great with plenty of towels. Laundry was convenient. Great TV with Roku, though we did have to download the Samsung remote on my phone to operate it Our favorite part was watching the cows and calves in the field down the hill. They were great about moooving out of the way when grazing near the driveway.

Wonderful stay - perfect location!
House had lots of space for our group of seven. It was the perfect location for visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Views from the house were incredible and we had plenty of privacy. The icing on the cake for us - we never ran out of hot water! Enjoyed our multi-night stay here and would definitely stay again.

This rental was wonderful! Awe-inspiring views!
The views in all directions are nothing less than spectacular! The kitchen was well-stocked and clean. The bath towels were good quality and the beds comfortable. I could not find a hairdryer in the master bath (lower level) but there was one in the upstairs bathroom. Big screen TV and fireplace made the lower level room very comfortable!

Loved our stay at this very spacious home! When we first arrived we were a bit nervous based on how secluded it is. However, we soon realized that the home is only a couple of miles from the small town of Torrey, where there is a small grocery, restaurants and a gas station, among other things. The home had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. We couldn't quite figure out the thermostat - my only suggestion would be to leave instructions on how to override the preset program. Otherwise our stay was amazing - the views - WOW! We would definitely stay here again!

The home was in a perfect location the views were 360 degrees. We have been coming to Torrey and Capitol Reef for many years and have stayed in almost all the hotels in the area. This is the best Sandra and I just loved it. Iy was hard to leave. We will be back.

One of the best I’ve stayed at. World class scenery from the from front to back. Stayed for a fishing trip with my young sons and my brother and his grown sons (5 big bodies, 2 smaller bodies) we were all comfortable. Loved sitting on the deck at sunset. Even has a great room to stream a movie. I think we’ll be back!

Fantastic Stay
The Hill Top Home was the perfect place for our family of four and could easily be a home base for two families with younger children. The location near town and Capitol Reef NP was ideal. It is cliche but the pictures really do not do the place justice. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds super comfy, and the sunrise and sunsets stunning. Also a cliche but our only problem was not staying there longer. We would return without hesitation!

Great stay close to Capitol Reef NP
We loved the location of this house. It was convenient to restaurants and the NP, but it was also surrounded by open space and a great view. It's an older home that has had some updates. It slept our family of 7 easily. We would have liked to be able to control the thermostat. It was set on a program and the upstairs rooms would get very warm. We have stayed in multiple vacation homes during this trip and I would say this kitchen could be better stocked compared to the others. Otherwise it is great rental.

I’m sorry you had trouble with the thermostat. It is preprogrammed but can easily be adjusted to lower the temperature when needed.l We pride ourselves with a fully stocked kitchen and would love suggestions of what we could add to improve it.

Great launching point for our adventures!
As advertised, Hilltop Home has amazing views all around. The bedrooms were good sized and the beds were comfortable. I love that we had access to a full-sized washer and dryer, and the TV in the basement was pretty awesome (we only used it once, but we were impressed). The road leading to the home is a dirt road, but it appears well maintained and wasn't a problem for our minivan. I don't know how it is when it's rainy, but it was fine for us in dry weather. We couldn't figure out the grill (there was no grid on it, and that threw us off) and the kitchen wasn't quite as spotless as I'd prefer, but I always wash all of the dishes we plan to use when we check into any rental, anyway. There were a couple of small issues that came up during our stay, but Collette was very responsive to messages. The location is about as good as you can get as a staging point for adventures in the park. And did I mention the gorgeous views? Bottom line: We enjoyed our stay and would stay in this home again.

The view out the front window never gets old!
Great property close to Capitol Reef, very peaceful and quiet. My family of 5 stayed here with plenty of room to spare. Property owner was quick to respond to a question we had. Kitchen had every we needed to cook each night. One note, the deck is full sun with no shade and very windy at times. We preferred sitting on the side of the house.
