"The views are breathtaking! The breakfast and restaurant are good. Light breakfast, coffee, water, juice, sweet pastries, some protein like prosciutto, some fruit and yogurt! Croissants of-course! We had the Jr Suite with the jacuzzi which was amazing for recovery of the walking and long days! The pool is at the very top of the hill (3 flights of steep steps) , not easily accessible, jacuzzi for the outside premises is nearby, the patio is a highlight for views, be prepared for the nightly sirens and boat sounds since it is right in front of marina however a far far walk, it is not easily accessible walking for any of those who require a sidewalk . However my daughter mother and I made many trips by foot in front of hotel the castle has a steep way down to the city, if you decide to take a cab, it will cost you$25-$30 each way to come up or down. The closes town is Vico Equense, (loved it) not so busy but places to eat..Castallamare has no bus access there so we took a cabs often,$50! So you need reliable transportation or be willing to walk a secluded mountain side by castle to reach train down in the town! But the views and hotel service makes up for this! The housekeeping crew was wonderful, Luigi was a lifesaver when we arrived at train station without access to taxis, he personally came for us! At no charge, all in all had a wonderful peaceful stay, I will say Castallamare is the place to decompress from the hustle and bustle of Positano, Sorrento,Almafi and Napoli!"

"We had read so many wonderful reviews about this hotel and they were not wrong. From the moment you walked in the hotel staff were very helpful and continued to be for the week that we were there. The courtesy bus was great, took us to the station and from there we had our trips to Sorrento, Amalfi and Napoli. The breakfast was very nice, the views were amazing from the rooftop of the hotel with a glass of morning fizz in hand! The restaurant in the evening in the hotel grounds was faultless, the food was amazing and the staff exceptional. During the day the pool area was very calm, the lifeguard / pool attendant kept it spotless, he was a fountain of local knowledge. Thank you, Medusa we had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend your beautiful hotel"
