"Amazing place! The owner Elizabeth incredible friendly and helpful. The hotel is up a 1km dirt road, and then you arrive at a beautiful vista in the rolling hills. Dinner there was amazing and so much food. Breakfast amazing, all food either grown at the hotel or very local. Accommodations in a former convent with original features. A special, special place. We just wished we had more time there to explore the grounds."

The facilities are excellent but in the room there was not even a kettle to make coffee, there was a mini refrigerator with two cans of soda. "A truly excellent hotel in terms of value for money, service, cleanliness, decor and transport links. It's a two star, but I suspect if it had a lift it would rank higher. There are only three floors in total and there was a stair lift, if needed, for suitcases etc. The owner is a lovely, friendly and helpful lady and the hotel is directly opposite the train station for Assisi with frequent buses to the old town.
