"Lovely pub and inn at the heart of the village. The room was lovely, very comfortable! At the end of each day I would arrive back at my room to find a homemade cookie waiting for me; it's these little touches that really demonstrate attention to detail and the thoughtfulness of the staff. It's a Dog friendly hotel, and there was a very cute friendly dog who greeted me as I went to check in. Would highly recommend, and will certainly stay again! "The room I was allocated was on the sunny side of the building and was like a sauna so I went to reception and told them. The young lady on reception kindly allocated me a room on the other side of the hotel which was much better. Moreover, it had a river view. It's in a lovely location, the whole area is beautiful."

"The Old Stables have been very cleverly converted into a unique and spacious self-contained apartment with every facility thought of and made available, including unexpected items that enriched the experience of staying there, some of which we never got around to using.Everywhere was very clean and inviting with lovely bedding and towels and the generous space upstairs held twin beds, chairs and a TV which would be ideal for families with children. Our hosts were really helpful and keen for us to enjoy our visit and we felt very at home from the moment we met them."
