The room was basic but perfectly adequate, with some nice extras like a chocolate bar and water. Although there was no air conditioning—typical for an older building—a large fan was provided, which worked well for us. However, I can imagine it might have been quite uncomfortable if the weather had been hotter. The bathroom was clean and simple. One of the slats in the window was missing, so it was fortunate that no one could see in. The toilet was tiny and I couldn't fit in it. The room was insecure and had a glass door to outside. "Reception & restaurant was beautiful. Staff were lovely. Disappointed with the room, very small not the cleanest, not well maintained, broken shower screen which we reported straight away, no coffee /tea. Room was over £200. Just expected a little more for our money & room to be nicer for a Hilton, pictures deceiving. For this reason we wouldn’t stay again."

"This was a great location. The staff were super helpful leadung up to check in. So easy for us to walk where we needed to. We got upgraded to the family room which turned out to be a bonus for when my partner gets up at stupid o'clock, it meant he didn't keep me awake. I would stay here again if i ever find myself in York again."
