"The host was very welcoming and friendly. Love the area. Very secluded and quiet. The Iron Bridge Cafe has amazing breakfast and the restaurant down the street is amazing. Was absolutely perfect for me and my wife ! "

"We stayed for a week and a half from Christmas through the New Year and we cannot recommend this place enough! From the 81 steps it was the perfect stay for us and our pups! The fireplace in the house was gorgeous and it was nice overlooking the River everything morning and being so close for a cozy afternoon by it with a fire! Highly recommend :) the beautiful kitchen and porch were great for nights to stay in and cook at home!"

"We stayed at this cabin in mid-December, right before Christmas, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was very well equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen, and it was even decorated with a Christmas tree, which made it feel extra special. The weather outside was cold, but the cabin stayed nice and warm and was incredibly cozy.While we didn’t take advantage of the boat, we did enjoy using the kayaks, and my son was able to catch a few nice-sized bass right from the dock. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit every night. There are plenty of nearby hiking trails to enjoy. The host was very kind and responded within minutes whenever we had a question.There was plenty of room for our group of five, and we truly appreciated being able to bring our dog along. The cabin has a cozy, rustic chic feel that’s perfect for a mountain lake getaway. I will say, coming from Southwest Florida, I underestimated the elevation. If you’re afraid of heights, it may take a bit to get used to, and as others have mentioned, the road in is narrow.Overall, I would definitely recommend this cabin. Thank you to The Blue Canoe for a wonderful getaway where many great memories were made."

"Castaway Cabin was an amazing location and had everything you could want for a comfortable getaway. We could not have been more thrilled with cabin and all the amenities. To top it off, Rick and Janet are amazing hosts. Such great hospitality during our stay and communication before our arrival was perfect. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the Blue Ridge area, especially if you are interested in fishing."
