"Good location for South Shields seafront etc and good selection of restaurants close by. Unfortunately there is no lift but help was offered if stairs were a problem. Room spacious but bathroom in need of updating. Contrast between certain areas nicely decorated but other areas in need of updating."

"We had a lovely long weekend stay at Emilyn House.A few minor things caught us out - no washcloths provided with the linens, no detergent for the washing machine, and no dryer, and while a French Press was provided, our group of 5 had to keep refilling it for coffee. The house was lovely, updated, and we enjoyed things like the heated towel rack and floor in the bathroom. Parking was easy and it's very convenient for Whitburn and the surrounding area, including walking along the coastline. We would stay again."
