"Mostly a great stay, with a couple of areas that could be improved to make it perfect. The communication with the host was great and immediate and we greatly appreciated being able to check in a bit early. First impression was not great as the outdoor furniture was kind of just lying around and the swing was a bit past its prime, and then we struggled with the lock box and old door locks. The host was quick to respond to help us. Inside impression was much better. Everything was very clean and updated with a nice kitchen. There was some food left in the fridge (open bag of pizza treats, open bottle of water) that made us wary of the cleaning, but floors and counters were very clean. We did have issues with ants, but were warned of that in the listing.The main focus of the cottage is access to the beach. It was about a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. We appreciated the chairs available. The steps were a challenge, but mainly due to my hip and knee issues. Would be the same anywhere along the dunes. Location is also close to local eateries, so we enjoyed our stay. Had a big meal and the nice kitchen and large table acccomodated that. It is does have older style cottage furnishings versus modern, but clean and comfortable. I was unhappy with what I felt was a forced damage insurance policy upon booking. I expressed to host, who said it was a vrbo policy, but this was the first time I have encountered, so be aware. Would stay again for a beach vacation."

"Great relaxing Union Pier vacation! This place was perfect. We liked walking downtown to Black Currant Bakery, Union Pier Social, and of course that gorgeous Townline Rd beach. The farmers market at Skips, the RoadHouse, and the Whistle Stop were close too. Perfect biking along Lake Shore Rd and throughout the farms and fields heading east. Very clean and spacious place. Hot tub was great after all that biking and hiking. Jonina was a pleasure to deal with.We’ll be back!"

"House was great and perfect for our large family of 24. The kitchen had everything you’d ever need. One small wish was a leaf blower or a service that blew leaves off the patio as given the woods it got quite covered and “messy” by the end of the week.
