In the middle of nowhere at Lake Buttermere in the Lake District. It is much smaller and lesser known than the more famed Windermere, Ullswater and Wast Water. Tucked away at the far north western corner of the Lake District National park area, Buttermere has of a relatively flat hiking trail that covers the circumference of the lake that can easily be covered in 2-3 hours. The drive to get here is an adventure in itself!
