This delightful, two-bedroom cottage in the historic village of Boltby, a resting point for the Cleveland Way and true James Herriot country, is tucked away at the far end of the village allowing guests to enjoy village life from the doorstep, whilst being close to the bustling market towns of Helmsley and Thirsk.
Lark Rise dates back over two hundred years and has been lovingly renovated to provide comfortable holiday accommodation. Enter via the porch into a wonderful dining area leading guests through to the well-equipped kitchen on the right or step up to the left and simply relax in the tastefully decorated sitting room with sumptuous sofa flanking the well-paced wood burning stove. There is plenty of space for everyone to socialise together or to relax in a quiet corner with a book. Each bedroom on the first floor is generous and offers luxury cotton bedlinen and feel like down duvets, adding to the luxury we all need once in a while. The enclosed small patio area, accessed via the French doors from the sitting room, is another tranquil option for chilling out while on holiday, or planning your itinerary over morning coffee to many local places of interest.
Boltby itself is a pretty village, known for it picture postcard cottages, historic church and Grade II listed pack horse bridge. There is even Boltby Trekking and Trail Riding Centre to enjoy and Boltby Forest, proving a popular day out for cyclists and walkers alike. Boltby really is an excellent starting point for outdoor enthusiasts with a variety of walks and hikes to explore the beautiful local countryside close by. Lark Rise really is a perfect retreat for family and friends of all ages, enjoy it.
