This is our third year visiting Lanzarote and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! Poolside apartments, everything you need in the apartment and lots of great food and drink options nearby!

Las Gaviotas Matagorda Beach

Accommodation was basic but clean. Older build than some others in the area. Thought the layout of the apartment was a fire hazard due to only exit from bedrooms and bathroom is via an outside courtyard - 2 external doors to be unlocked to exit the courtyard into the living room/kichen area - each with seperate keys not clearly marked Courtyard had 8ft high wall and no door/gate. Also the bathroom needs to be updated.

Disappointing. Didn't get the room we paid for.

We paid extra for a 'plus' room which we were told by phone would put us in the block nearest the seafront. However, on check in we were placed in an entirely different and disconnected block several streets away which was as far back as their much cheaper Morromar sister hotel. The air conditioning, which was the main reason we paid extra, kept turning itself off. In the middle of a heatwave this made sleeping very uncomfortable. The hard beds only added to that. We were there for work so WiFi was important. It fluctuated a lot, from 8Mbps right down to 0.5Mbps. There is no excuse in 2023 for poor hotel WiFi. The chap who guided us to the room late at night didn't offer to help us with our bags. I believe he was part if the maintenance team. The same team that were in a little office/storeroom from which came the very pungent smell of something more than tobacco. Plus points; the cleaners do a good job, even around the lazy maintenance. And it takes around 5 minutes to walk to the promenade and 15 to get to Playa Pocillo where there are many restaurants and bars. 45 minutes walk will get you to PDC. The area itsef is good but we wouldn't stay at this property again

Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel met name de dame(s) die kwamen schoonmaken.
Leuke plek en lekker zwembad. Was te koud voor de tijd van het jaar dus niet veel gebruik van gemaakt.

Het complex maakte een mooie en verzorgde indruk. Ook ons appartement voldeed aan de verwachtingen, alleen de ligging van ons appartement blok 2 nummer 7 was ongunstig. Nauwelijks zon, op de wind en luidruchtig naast de horecagelegenheden van het shoppingcenter. Prettig was wel dat we via de achteruitgang voor het verwarmde uitkwamen.

We stayed in Gaviotas VIII for one week. The properly was basic, but clean. We were given fresh towels every other day and the bedding was changed. The location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend this property.

Winter escape

Been here many times before it’s a cosy friendly place quite but close to bars and restaurants the bathrooms are looking a bit dated and as the waters heated by a small external boiler you need to be quick redline a shower but over all very present stay

The apartment plus property was really-well assembled. It wasn't clear from the Expedia description that Las Gaviotas has three clusters. Also, only seven apartments face the sea/beach, the images on Expedia are deceiving. Overall, I would give it 4 out of 5 because it was hard to get good amount of natural light from terrace glazing and ventilation from toilet opening. However, the apartment property had enough privacy which was a bonus.

Superior bungalow in block 3 in excellent position.Very comfortable.Lovely grounds.Friendly staff. All inclusive food good.Beer & spirits good.Wine & cocktails could be better. Would benefit from having a bar with seating area separate to restaurant with some entertainment. Will return.

Wir waren nun zum 2. mal in dieser Anlage. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und freundlich, jedoch war im Gegensatz zum letzten Jahr das Appartement in einem sehr renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand. Schade eigentlich für eine ansonsten tolle Anlage in super Lage.

Los bungalows, tipo apartamento, son cómodos y acogedores. Las numerosas piscinas permiten cambiar de ambiente si no te gusta alguna de ellas. No me gustó que el bufet de la comida fuera algo corto en diversidad de platos. Tampoco que ya por la noche algunos huéspedes se reservaran las hamacas con sus toallas para el día siguiente, con lo cual no quedara sitio suficiente. El personal siempre amable y muy servicial, tanto el de recepción como el de los restaurantes y bares

Idéal pour les familles avec la cuisine équipée et les commerces à proximité. Attention au sol un peu glissant près de la piscine. Pratique d'avoir la piscine au pied du logement et la mer tout près.

L'endroit est très calme et jolie près de la plage et autre, mais le buffet nest pas a la hauteur de Lanzarote car proposée des produits surgelés ou en conserves alors qu'on est dans une île, pas de poissons ou de produits de la mer est inacceptable pour le prix qu'on a payer en demi-pension. En plus le ménage nest pas fait tout les jours alors qu'il sont censé le faire 5 fois par semaines les lit pour 3 étoiles est juste une catastrophe.
