We stayed two nights. The location is genuinely good, only a short walk from the central station, and the hotel positions itself as a luxury property. In several respects it fell short of that. Check in set the tone. Our receptionist chewed gum throughout the process, and her opening move was to offer us a very expensive upgrade to a suite rather than to welcome us. The room was a reasonable size but an awkward long, narrow shape. Wardrobe space was very limited for two people, and the several medium sized cupboards had no shelves, which made them impractical for storing clothes. Breakfast was the low point. The breakfast area is large, with an extensive food offering, but it was extremely crowded, with what felt like a hundred or more guests circulating at once. The impression was of being in an ants' nest. It was the opposite of a relaxing start to the day and a real disappointment. Matters were not helped by a large conference taking place in the hotel. When we asked to store our luggage we were sent to the conference storage area, where the staff greeted us discourteously. The gym, by contrast, was excellent, with an extensive selection of weights. I did not use them myself, but the pool and jacuzzi looked good too. On balance, at this price point I would recommend the hotel for its convenience for the station, but if you are seeking a genuinely luxurious stay, look elsewhere.

Very well located and convenient to numerous tram lines. Only one stop from the rail station. Very helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is really great ( but coffee could be stronger…) The only real caveat is that the neighborhood gets rather dodgy a block or two to the left from the hotel. (Along Storgata). We walked a few blocks past it to dinner, but opted to take the tram back just to avoid that area at dark.
