We stayed for one night and the location is fantastic — a very short walk to Gloucester Road Underground and easy to reach Kensington High Street and Kensington Gardens, with plenty of amenities nearby. The room was clean and functional, although quite small and only had space for one bedside table. Unfortunately, we were placed in a basement room between the lift and the breakfast room. The soundproofing was very poor and we were woken early by staff setting up breakfast. Our window also backed onto what seemed to be a generator or air conditioning unit that ran constantly throughout the night. Breakfast was okay. Overall, we would only recommend staying here if you are in a room away from the basement, as the rest of the hotel may offer a much better experience.

Staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Also via the Expedia App the hotel staff messaged and the interactions were helpful. Room was tired but comfortable and clean. The air con did not appear to function overly well. Big shame that they do not have a more eco-friendly approach. Using re-fillable dispensers for example. Lots of plastic waste.

It made getting around the city effortless while still feeling tucked into a quieter, more refined part of London. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Everything felt well-maintained and intentional, from the quality of the linens to the small details that make a stay feel elevated rather than just functional. It’s clear that care goes into every aspect of the guest experience. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—fresh, well-prepared, and a perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm and welcoming, which made it easy to relax after busy days in the city. What truly sets the Montana Hotel apart, though, is the consistency. Every interaction, every detail, every day…it all just worked seamlessly. It’s the kind of place you don’t hesitate to return to, and one I would confidently recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and genuinely pleasant stay in London.
