"Lovely house had everything we needed. The views are something special. Spectacular sunrises, sunsets, moonlight reflecting on the sea. Even a couple of misty mornings were very beautiful. The garden is also beautiful though quite steep for our old dog. He was finding it easier by the end of the week. Really good that lights come on as you climb the steps going up to the house. Mark was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with."

"Really lovely stay and a great surprise. The room was much bigger than we expected and we were really pleased to find that the kids effectively had their own little room within our room, with really good-sized bunk beds. It made such a difference travelling as a family and everyone had plenty of space. The staff were absolutely outstanding, genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful, and really added to our stay. The room was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was excellent and, oddly important after a long day, the TV was simple to use without having to fight with it! One useful update is that the hotel does now have an alcohol licence, despite some of the information we received beforehand suggesting otherwise, so drinks are available from the bar added bonus. We were only there for one night but were genuinely impressed. It was excellent value for a family room and we would very happily stay again."

"Second time visiting this hotel after a gap of 5 years. I really wanted to give it 5 stars as it’s in a beautiful location and the main hotel is really very lovely. Particularly liked the drawing rooms downstairs for relaxing with a good book and the lovely gardens for afternoon tea and more. Steeped in history, I enjoyed reading about times gone by. Food was of a high standard across the board. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss with staff becoming overwhelmed quite quickly. However, having visited this hotel previously I was disappointed in the Spa. The facilities would benefit from a deep clean and some maintenance. As the spa is quite small and shared by hotel guests, day guests and members of the spa/gym membership, it can get very busy and crowded I found the towel on the hook situation a bit tedious, especially as a hotel paying guest. One day I went for a quick swim but left ntvggg bun"

"Lovely place to stay, has been converted beautifully. Comfy bed and Lovely bath! Only downside was we couldn't get the room to cool down, air-con seemed stuck. Would stay again and recommend. Breakfast was delicious 😋"

"Property is very small, but fortunately the weather was good to us and we were out every day. The veranda is beautiful to sit out on with stunning views. Location stunning, with beautiful walks, and beaches. Property was over all clean, but maybe a little more attention needed in some places. Definitely would recommend a visit! Lots of steps to get to accommodation, so not good if not physically fit."

"Had a great stay, only stayed one night but on arrival we were greeted by the reception staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The facilities at the hotel were amazing, we enjoyed making use of the pool, steam room and sauna. Plenty of parking and it was reasonable too at £7 per night. Location is great too, close to town centre, and the theatre. Would definitely stay here again."
