One man and his dog getaway.
On first entering the cottage it was very noticeable how clean and tidy it was and there were many well thought out useful additions like towels for the dogs plus throws if any get on the furniture. Considering how terrible the weather was I had a great break from home in a lovely cottage.

Great relaxing break
Fantastic communication from start of the booking process to after departure. Cottage was as expected, very clean and probably the best equipped property we have stayed in. The cream tea, wine and doggie treats for Ralph on arrival were a great touch. Grounds were great for Ralph to run around and he enjoyed his play with Sam. Needed to relax and it certainly ticked that box. Thanks both.

Excellent stay at this spotlessly clean and spacious bungalow in perfect grounds if have a dog, hosts were perfect, on hand if needed and great to have a chat with, would stay again and highly recommend.

Summer in Devon
Apart from the British weather the stay in Devon was relaxing and restful. The cottage was a good size, clean with everything thought out well by the hosts Graham and Andy. The hosts were welcoming and at all times tried to keep our holiday private, although helpful if we required anything which was very little. The grounds were huge and more than enough to exercise our Golden Retriever when required. All in all great accommodation and hosts.

Amazing holiday cottage
Cottage, hosts, location all excellent. Very quiet. Cottage has everything you need. Hosts are so helpful and kind. Fabulous with a dog, large enclosed area plus huge grounds to use as well. Really enjoyed our holiday there.

Lovely cottage
From the initial booking to leaving after the holiday was a breeze. Lovely, clean cottage in beautiful grounds, ideal if you have a dog. Our dog loved it. The cottage is very well equipped. Graham and Andy were perfect hosts. If we go back to the area we would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely wonderful stay in Hillandale Cottage
One of the nicest we have ever stayed in , if not THE nicest! Everything was perfect, the accommodation was so comfortable, clean, well equipped, with so many extra touches to make it like a home from home. Our 2 dogs loved it too and especially the field.Graham & Andy are superlative hosts and couldn’t be more helpful.Can’t wait to come again! Thank you so much, Lynn, Roger, dogs Pip & Storm. xxx

Highly recommended
This accomodation offers the perfect base for exploring around Devon. The beds are super comfy and it is furnished to a really high standard with literally everything provided for even a prolonged stay. I wish we were there longer. There is outside seating to catch both morning and afternoon sun, no noise except the birds - idyllic. Graham & Andy are perfect hosts. They clearly care greatly about your stay and get the balance of being available or out of sight absolutely spot on. Nothing was too much trouble for them and Graham is super efficient in his communications right from your first enquire to any questions you have during the stay - thank you. Sam the dog is a delight, and although we didn’t have a dog with us, we are all dog-lovers and appreciated all the elements in the house to make any puppy very welcome and spoiled - they were really great touches. There is a ton of local info in the house as well as books, dvds, games for more rainy times. Graham or Andy are always happy to advise or recommend places which was very helpful - The Hoops Inn pub was an absolute knockout. I’m sure it is clear that we were thrilled with this place. We don’t tend to return to the same place twice, but with so much else we could’ve explored in the area, I would strongly consider it here - and I would choose to stay with Graham and Andy.

House-Hunting Trip
Fabulous property with everything you could possibly need. Our hosts were amazing and very helpful with our quest to find a new home in the area. The cottage is light and airy and very spacious, spotlessly clean and well situated roughly half way between Appledore/Instow to the North and Bude to the South. Would certainly stay there again and a big thanks to Graham, Andie and Sam.

The perfect holiday home
Just returned back from a weeks stay at Hillandale cottage, Langtree. I would highly recommend a stay. The two lovelies hosts Graham and Andy and not forgetting Sam the dog. We was welcomed by Graham on arrival with complimentary scones, clotted cream and jam and a bottle of wine. The dogs were also treated to some doggy treats, very thoughtful. The cottage is a good size, bedrooms are large with lovely bedding and towels and plenty of wardrobe space. The large open plan kitchen and lounge is large, with a very well equipped kitchen. The 9 acre site is great for walking the dogs. A lovely private sun trap rear patio overlooking fields. The cottage is very clean and well looked after. The cottage is in a very quiet and private location. It does not take long by car to get to Bideford, Westward Ho which has an amazing beach. Graham and Andy were the perfect hosts very helpful and friendly. The cottage has got everything you could need and more. We hope to return in the near future. Thank you to Graham and Andy and Sam for making our week so enjoyable and relaxed.

Exceptional cottage in beautiful grounds
Just returned from a week at this property. We were welcomed by Graham one of the owners who ran through details of the property. The cottage was exceptionally clean with all mod cons and fully extensive kitchen utensils. The hosts even left fresh scones with jam and cream and a bottle of wine. I would definitely recommend this property.

For a second year we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hillandale courtesy of Andy and Graham (and Sam the dog). The cottage was amazingly clean, well appointed and comfortable for us all. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We love this place.

Fantastic property, grounds and hosts!
We have just returned from a lovely week at Hillandale Cottage. Graham, Andy and Sam the dog were wonderful hosts. Scones, wine, milk and even dog treats for our dog Buddy on arrival. It was truly a home from home, with everything you could ask for. Great location too, spent many days at the surrounding beaches and to top it off the weather was just perfect. Thank you so much! We went back for the second time because we enjoyed it so much the first time. Had everything we wanted and more, even had treats for the dog’s again. The dogs love staying there home from home. Perfect holiday home away from home
A wonderfully clean and well equipped dwelling which was perfect for a week away with our young son. The house was clean with new appliances which made it nice to stay in. Although situated next to the main house, it felt nice and private with a useful dining space out the front and patio with table/chairs & washing line out back. The bird feeder and beautiful fields made for a relaxing view. The extensive grounds provided the perfect space for our son to play and the quiet location made strolling around a peaceful experience. Graham and Andy were wonderful hosts being attentive without being space invaders and it was a pleasure to talk to them every time. They provided a safe space to store our bikes which was helpful and gave us useful tourist information. Lots to do locally and a bit further away with some of our favourites being a bike ride along the Tarka trail, visiting Clovelly and Peppercombe beach. Would highly recommend.

WOW WOW WOW, This is the gem of the holiday lets! Not only are you welcomed by such lovely hosts the property is amazing and the grounds well no words are needed! The reviews are correct you want for nothing in this house, you could make a full roast or bake a cake and it's all there! We had such a wonderful stay and can't wait to return. We wanted for nothing. We will miss this beautiful place and look forward to returning. Thank you Graham, Andy and Sam for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home.

We stayed for six weeks whilst our house was under renovation. Graham and Andy were great hosts, keen to ensure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The cottage has everything you could possibly need for dining in but there are also good pubs and takeaways within easy reach. Would love to return. Highly recommended.

Had such a lovely week . Graham and Andy are lovely hosts. Couldnt do enough for us. Grounds are fab, dogs loved it. Lots of space for our 2 hyper german shepherd's and perfectly secure outside the cottage. Location is good, never too far away from spectacular tourist sites, beaches and amenities. The cottage location is quiet, slept really well every night. Spotlessly clean. Everything has been thought of here. The complimentary scones, clotted cream and jam were lush, bottle of wine and doggy treats were a lovely touch. Cant recommend Grahams and Andys cottage enough. We would love to return in the future. Beautiful property
Myself and my wife Trish had a wonderful relaxed stay in an idyllic location at Graham and Andys lovely bungalow in Devon. The whole experience was fantastic, from the initial booking we were in contact and nothing was too much trouble regards questions we had. The bungalow itself was spotlessly clean, spacious and equipped with everything you could need. Fantastic staycation in beautiful grounds of Graham, Andy and Sam the dogs wonderful home. Graham and Andy just left us to our own devices, but were there if we needed them for anything. All in all a fantastic experience and one we cant wait to do again, lovely hosts. Brilliant place to stay
Graham was waiting for us when we arrived, we later met Andy. They explained everything to us including all the safety aspects of the accommodation. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or better hosts. It was spotlessly clean and had lots of thoughtful extras. The usual coffee, tea, milk, even a Devon cream tea and a bottle of wine. But the most thoughtful was a bag of treats for the dogs. We were made to feel really welcome, we felt relaxed straight away. The dogs loved running around the grounds and meeting Sam, (their dog). Lot’s of information about where to go and what to do, where the shops, pubs, takeaways and beaches where. Would definitely recommend this lovely quiet away from it all place but easy access to lots of places to visit. We will return there again .

A perfect getaway in Devon.
Graham and Andy have organised a fantastic cottage here. Everything you could possibly need is present. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and was perfect for a week of exploring the local area. We definitely recommend this cottage and hope that you have as good a stay as us. Restful Stay at Hillandale Cottage
We arrived at the cottage after a 6hr journey and there is a saying which goes”you never get a second chance to make a good first impression” well the cottage didn’t need one! We weren’t disappointed with anything it had to offer made even more so the fact we had wall to wall sunshine from arrival to departure. We took our 4 small chihuahuas who had so much land and space to romp around they were tired out each day without having to go anywhere. The cottage itself is quite isolated and you have to journey a few miles either way to find a shop or pub so you have to make sure you have everything you need as it’s quite a distance if you forget anything. The cottage is modern and well equipped a real home from home. Graham, Andy and of course not forgetting Sam the dog are fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Already looking forward to our next visit and hope we also get the weather to go with it!
