PEACE OF MIND is a part of Mountain Mist Cabins.

Newly updated & decorated, this cabin is great for the whole family, offering 2 private bedrooms with Queen Beds, 2 bathrooms, and a loft area with Queen bed and a stand-up arcade. Peace of Mind is the perfect place for the family to get away and relax. The kitchen is fully stocked with a drip coffee maker (BYO-Coffee), and a Keurig (BYO-K-cups), and all the dishes and cookware you may need during your stay.

All TVs are connected to wifi with access to all of your favorite streaming apps (you must log into your own accounts)! Both bedrooms contain 43” UHD Roku-equipped TV's. The loft & the living room are fitted with 55” TVs.

There is an electric fireplace for use in the cooler season (Oct. - Mar.), in the living room.

A sleeper sofa is available for kids or additional guests, please message us before booking if you plan to use it!

In the loft, you will find an arcade game, newly installed with 60 Classic Arcade games, and extra seating

Mountain Mist Cabins offers a shared Laundry Area, located at the beginning of the main driveway. It is the FIRST right turn after you have pulled in from the road.

Do not feed or interact with any wildlife, especially bears.
Make sure all trash outside is placed in the bear proof trash bins or dumpster at the end of the driveway, to the right.
Never leave trash bags or food outside.

Towels and linens are provided, as well as soaps, shampoos, and even toothbrushes are available if you forgot yours!

Primary person making the reservation MUST be 23 years of age.

Should you bring more guests than reflected by your reservation, you may be asked to leave the property without a refund and/or pay an additional $25 per night per person.

Quiet Hours are from 10PM to 9AM

Do not leave any trash or food outside, it will attract bears. There are bears in this area.
You are in nature and there are bears and other wildlife in the area. If Bears get too accustomed to people, they are put down. If you feed the bears, you can kill the bears, so please don't kill the bears.

The hot tub is for guests 21 and over. Alcohol is NOT allowed near the hot tub. You may not use the hot tub if you have consumed any alcohol or are pregnant. USE HOT TUB AT YOUR OWN RISK!

As with most cabins in the area, all fireplaces are shut down April 1 - September 30.

We do not offer early check-in or late check-out in most situations. However, IF we are able to accommodate, there may be an additional charge.

Condiments, zip locks, and coffee are NOT provided.

Absolutely NO unauthorized fires! Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $250 plus damages. Use of the fire pit is allowed. We do not provide Firewood but it can be purchased many places around town including most grocery and convenience stores as well as several roadside stands throughout the area.
As always, be safe and use caution. You WILL be accountable for any damages.

Great location

We like to visit Cades Cove and The National Park for sightseeing and hiking. Great location for both. Cabin was very clean and electronics friendly for those with that kind of need.

Peace of mind was perfect. Check in was easy. The place was spacious and had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and many extras like dish soap and toiletries. The hot tub was hot and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub each evening after hiking. Dereck was very helpful with instructions and directions for check in and out. We look forward to future visits. Cute little cabin.

We loved the cabin. The kitchen jad everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable. It was a week before Christmas when we were there, the little Christmas tree in the living room next to the fireplace wa s a nice touch.

Wonderful Cabin

We spent Thanksgiving at Peace of Mind, which is a perfect name for it. The cabin was very welcoming upon arrival. The decor is attractive and tasteful. And the cabin was very clean. Derek is a great host and very quick to respond to questions. We definitely would stay here again!

Cozy getaway

Our stay was absolutely phenomenal. The location is perfect, close to everything, yet on the quiet side of the smokies. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. A ton of kitchen supplies, towels, everything was very tidy. We thoroughly emjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back. Will certainly book this cabin again. It was perfect!

Woods and quiet

We loved being out and away from the hustle. The cabin was beautiful and peaceful. Everything about our stay was what we wanted. Very clean and everything you need to feel right at home. The big porch and rocking chairs along with the fire pit and hot tub made it all an amazing trip for us!!

This cabin wasn’t actually our first choice, our original rental was cancelled on us a a month prior because the sold but this gave me reassurance and confirms why everything happens for a reason. This cabin is a great location in Townsend, it’s clean, and perfect cabin get away for a girls trip or family getaway! The cabin was way better than what we originally had booked. We accidentally locked ourselves out, and Derick was quick to respond to my friend to help us out. I would stay again!

Very Nice place fully equipped

Derek was very responsive to our questions and answered with in hours if not sooner. The house was very clean, well provisioned with everything you'd need and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was great and ready when we arrived. This cabin is very convenient to everything in Townsend and GSMP yet just off the main road. We used the fire pit several times which provides privacy, even though other cabins are in Mountain Mist. It was too early for bears but heed the warnings in the summer. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again

Ideal Mountain Getaway Cabin

An attractive, comfortable, trouble-free place in the mountains. We found it easily, fully equipped, everything there and in working order. Well-built rustic cabin. Beds are ideal. Strong internet. We found the large supermarket nearby. Barbecued on the charcoal grill every night. We were there for hiking in the GSMNP, namely Cades Cove. It was very close and easy access. Hot tub was a blessing for sore out-of-shape legs that were taken hiking. We used the firepit twice (the fire was stacked when we arrived). It was great for an evening chat. Derek is a great host: friendly, quick to respond, well organized, easy to engage. Hope to stay there again.

Quite and tucked away with a fire pit

This property was exactly what we were looking for - something a bit more secluded. Yes, there are neighbors, but you couldn't really see them which was great. The fire pit was an excellent source of entertainment for us.

Relaxing weekend in Townsend

Cabin was exactly as described and very clean! Great communication with the owner with clear check in and check out instructions. Loved the hot tub and being close to the park without the busyness of a bigger city like Pigeon Forge. Would definitely stay here again!
