This hotel is very good value for money. Bed excellent, clean, shower good, spacious. Friendly and helpful service. However, the road is very noisy until after midnight, so not for light sleepers.

A friendly welcome and lovely, spacious room. No breakfast is provided, but there is a fridge and table to eat in the room. Huge bathroom with walk-in shower and ample storage - much more roomy than hotels I've paid much more for. Could have done with more shower gel / shampoo, but this is just a minor detail. The room was made up for us at convenient times, even if we didn't leave until lunch time. Would definitely stay here again and recommend. Very handy for the canal, bus station and port.

The accommodation was fine for its cheap price. It’s super centrally located and everything in the city can be reached by foot. The shared bathrooms and apartment were always clean, sadly our room had a light yet distinct smell of wet dog to it. One of the double windows also had a piece missing, which let a lot of traffic noise through, so it wasn’t a quiet room in the morning. But overall the experience was fine for what we have paid.

This is an absolutely gorgeous accommodation. We spend three nights which enjoyed very much. It’s conveniently located, rooms are spacey, even better for a family, clean and bright. The best, it is air conditioned which made our stay more comfortable during the hot summer days in Trieste. I highly recommended Affittacamere Berzi !

Did not stay there. No desk, property has some company with a buzzer not really telling you anything. Looked and is private dwellings. I was one minute late after walking there, no one answered leaving me stranded

The listing said that reception was open until 7:00PM and also free parking. Both of these things are absolutely false. Parking is in the street only and it’s only free from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. But the worst part was that when we arrived there was ABSOLUTELY NOBODY THERE to check us in. There was a post it note with a phone number to dial. The other “hotel” in the building had someone there who called and got the code for the key box. I got the keys for room four and started looking around. Guess what. NO NUMBERS ANYWHERE. FINALLY, again help from the other hotel in the building got in to the area and found the room. The signage is absolutely not clear. Not even a little. When I could finally call the number the person did not speak English and could not explain anything and hung up on me twice. DONT BUTDEN YOURSELF WITH STAYING HERE.

The entrance to the building is a bit dark. Up on check in the staff was very nice. The room was very clean and spacious. If you book this hotel make sure you bring your own soap and shampoo. They are very limited on the amenities. The WiFi did not work in our room. We had a room at the very end of the hallway to avoid the noisy area. Staff was very pleasant.

Hotel took booking after 9p. No instructions for check in were provided. No warning that no one would be there given at time of accepting booking. Called hotel, called number on door- no one answered. No one cared.

Great Value for Money + Outstanding Personnel

Expectations were surpassed. The building is one of those respectable old apartments with a XIXth century vibe, but well maintained, and mobility friendly. Location is excellent within walking distance to the train station, the water, restaurants and Piazza della Unita. The room was recently redone with a refreshingly large bathroom. AC was modern, highly efficient which was definitely welcome during a record hot summer. The bed was unusually large by European standards and very comfortable. Last but certainly not least each one of the staff members were outstanding in their attentiveness and willingness to assist with luggage and early check in. I would definitely come back.

They do not speak English, I was arriving at 20:00 and their check in is till 19:00, I called them and then I had to send info at their website in Italian. Never replied, day before arrival I had an Italian to call them and they said they will wait for me. Room is basic and clean. Nice at common bathroom had a chlorine bottle to clean.
