"The rooms were clean, staff is very friendly and aims to please. The lodge offers a simple nice breakfast. Dinner is also available if you confirm - we chose to eat off property. The road to arrive is extremely rough - potholes, less than two lanes at times - but worth it once you arrive. There was no TV in our room, I suggest making certain you have games or other entertainment. I also suggest planning to arrive back at the lodge early evening, before it gets too dark, but only due to the...
"My 2 kids (9yo, 11yo) and I went to Rancho Margot for 5 days seeking an immersive experience at a sustainable working farm in the rainforest, near Arenal. It’s about 30 min from La Fortuna. And we got it! We loved it. We experienced what a circular economy looks like, and how it can work.
We enjoyed their fascinating workshops on how to make soap, chocolate, and cheese (queso fresco). We swam in their lovely pool. We also did zip lining and thermal springs off-site.
Their food is so good and...
"My family and I had a great stay here! JP and his associates welcomed us and made us feel at home. Complimentary breakfast was great and the other meals were delicious. The room itself was great given you are in the jungle, so there was no a/c and typical sugar ants but nothing unexpected. The pool and the views were gorgeous. The hot tub was down while we were there but it wasn’t missed. We took advantage of the Lake Tour and La Tia’s massage services which were both worth the money. We...
"Todo Exelente , ubicacion Naturaleza, mi Problema Fue las Habitaciones no dejan agua , no tiene mini nivera, no tiene tv, fuimos 3 dias en familia y si no tenes esas comodidades , es para ir 1 dia , si queres comprar halgo es a 40 minutos en la Fortuna , el Restaurante exelente y la atencion exelente ."
"Had a lovely weekend stay here. The view over Lake Arenal is unbelievable! Ana was a delight every morning and made wonderful breakfasts. Her sweet cats roaming around on the property was a huge plus for me. Great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and undisturbed but still only 20 minutes from restaurants/conveniences. There are toucans in the trees next to the bungalow every morning."
