"We were not expecting much knowing it was low cost but were pleasantly surprised how clean it was! Staff was extremely friendly! The hot tub was a big bonus after long hikes!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Palais de Leon and had a wonderful family reunion here. It’s a beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind property with plenty of space for a large group. The pool and riverfront are amazing, beds were comfortable, and the home is full of unique rooms, antiques and amenities. We especially enjoyed the theater, paddleboards/kayaks and incredible liquor collection. The team also made check-in easy and provided a helpful tour.That said, a few things fell short of what we’d expect from a luxury rental at this price point. The hot tub wasn’t working when we arrived. Technicians came during our stay, but with no notice or updates, and we only discovered it was working shortly before leaving.The kitchen could also use updating. Cookware was old/mismatched and limited for a large group, the oven took over an hour to preheat, and the dishwashers didn’t clean well.Having to manually lock/check 20 exterior doors was cumbersome, and an electronic keypad would be a welcome upgrade.Finally, the advertised EV chargers are older Tesla chargers configured for Tesla vehicles only. Our Cadillac EV wouldn’t charge even with an adapter, so a universal charger would be helpful.Overall, we had a great stay and made wonderful family memories. With a few updates, this could truly be a 5-star luxury experience."

"I wanted a place within 10 minute walking distance to my son's new home so the location was perfect. I've stayed at a few Motel 6 locations over the years and each is individually operated. This location was quiet, the room was larger than most, clean and the towels were a bit better than I've been used to at a Motel 6. There is a Starbucks a few steps away as well as a McDonald's (which I do avoid), but the real gem is a market a block away called Burbur World Foods with a wonderful take out food selection better than any overpriced Whole Foods! I'll likely stay again on my more frequent trips now that I have a new granddaughter to visit."

"Cute motel to stay at. Quiet, even though on Barbur Blvd. Comfortable bed. Clean room. I recommend it for single or multiple night stay. We will stay next trip to Portland. Shower water pressure was light."

"I found Mary and Jim’s property to be a quaint and charming English cottage. It felt as if someone plopped it down in the midst of the forest as if it were a tree house. It is ideally located a short drive from Avenue A shopping and a fantastic farmer’s market on Saturday mornings."

"Home was equipped with everything you need. And it felt like a home, not a quick rental, which is exactly what we were looking for. Beds were comfy, it was quiet in the neighborhood, and the outdoor space was magical. Highly recommend for family's."

"We had a very nice stay. The front desk staff, especially Anthony, was very helpful and kind. The pool is beautiful and right on the lake. (There is not a fence between the pool deck and the lake, so young kids will need to be supervised.) The property is older yet well maintained and quite charming. We would definitely stay again."
