"wifi was terrible, staff unhelpful, told us the hotel was full and we could not check in early. The hotel was clearly half empty and they could have easily met our requests which were given weeks in advance. The hotel is very isolated on its own, you cannot walk beyond its own beach without going onto a dangerous half built access road. Once you're in your stuck there. Other hotels in the area slightly further north are all joined together so access to the beaches are great"

"Staff is wonderful, except they way too busy at times and become too hectic and crazy. We Ate at Segala- Ibrahim chef is great. Food is excellent, ambiance great! Prefer different variety food during breakfast. After spending 6 days, gets tiring of all the same food. Great staff!!"

"Our stay at this house in Mauritius had both enjoyable aspects and some clear drawbacks. On the positive side, the pool is excellent and the overall interior design is very সনদর—tasteful and inviting. The outdoor area is great for relaxing, and the house has a nice aesthetic overall.However, there were some issues upon arrival. The house was not clean when we checked in. After we raised this, it was cleaned again promptly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, some of the furniture is quite worn, and the bed linen had a musty smell, which negatively affected the first impression.Another important point is the location. The listing is quite inaccurate, and you only receive the exact location shortly before arrival. The house is actually located outside the town, so having a car is absolutely necessary.A major downside is the noise at night. Motorbikes in particular are very loud and can be heard throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. We strongly recommend bringing earplugs.Overall, the house has potential thanks to its nice design and pool, but improvements are needed in terms of cleanliness, furniture condition, and transparency regarding the location."

"We recently stayed at Victoria Beachcomber as an Indian family with kids, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The property itself is amazing—massive, beautifully maintained, and set in a stunning location. The sunset views from the resort are simply breathtaking and were one of the highlights of our stay. We stayed in a ground-floor double room, which was very comfortable and offered lovely views with easy access to the beach, making it especially convenient for families. As vegetarians, we initially found the buffet options somewhat limited. However, Chef Iqbal went above and beyond to take special care of us throughout our stay. Every day, he lovingly prepared delicious Indian curries and fresh rotis, ensuring that we always had a satisfying meal. His hospitality and personal attention truly made a difference. The Kids Club was another standout feature. Our 8-year-old thoroughly enjoyed the games and activities organized by the team. The staff took excellent care of the children, keeping them engaged and entertained, which allowed the adults to relax and enjoy the resort. We also loved the complimentary water activities. The glass-bottom boat, paddle boat, and kayak were fantastic additions and added a lot of fun to our holiday. Every evening, the resort organized cultural dance performances showcasing local traditions and dance forms, followed by a DJ night. These events created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere and gave us a glimpse into the local"

Superb private villa 'foot in the water' - Free WiFi

"The villa, pool and pool area were just as described and very clean with air conditioning in all the bedrooms (a must in summer temperatures!). The villa was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for an extended stay. In terms of location, the area is generally quite peaceful although there is not much by way of restaurants/bars in the immediate area so transport is a necessity if you want to eat out. That said, we decided not to hire a car and instead used a local taxi driver who was very reasonable and extremely reliable for trips to shops and sightseeing.A small negative for us was that we found the mattresses on the beds to be rather hard and uncomfortable. While we appreciate mattress preferences vary, there was only a very thin mattress protector under the bottom sheet so the owners might want to think about investing in some decent mattress toppers to give guests a better nights sleep.Mary, the housekeeper, was great, she was very responsive and quickly dealt with any issues as they arose. Over the one month period, the villa, gardens and pool were cleaned and maintained regularly. This villa is not ‘in the thick of things’ but we found it perfect for a relaxing break in the sun."
