"We thoroughly enjoyed our lovely stay in the beautiful, rustic cabin on the River. It had everything you could possibly need with a wonderful shower, fully stocked kitchen with utensils and spices and a fireplace that we spent every night in front of. Only suggestion would be to bring your own drinking water. While the water is safe to drink it does have a little different taste to it. Well worth a visit and we hope to go back again."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a lovely home nestled in the woods where the architecture of the home itself (clerestory and skylight windows throughout) made it feel like we were immersed in nature itself for the entire stay. The wrap around porch was also a winderful place to sit, eat and enjoy the forest. The property is near a state forest campground so the surroundings were beautifully remote feeling with uninterrupted trees and the rustic walkway to the Boardman river was nice. We would highly recommend as a quiet retreat from hectic lives and busy schedules. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay."

"This property is rustic but is described as such, so if you are looking for the four seasons, don’t come here and then complain. It is a WONDERFUL rustic cabin with so much room to roam on trails through the woods and around the lakes. There are lots of fish in the lake and wildlife in the woods. Everything is very comfortable. Highly recommend."

"The house size was as described when booking. Enough room for my large family to all stay together. Great accommodations however, there was no view of the lake from the deck because the trees were overgrown.The house was great, but the deck, the stairs to the lake, and fire pit area at lakeside could have used some TLC."

"Such a cute like place on a small body of water. We enjoyed taking the pedal boat out around the small island. Just far enough out of the city it’s a short drive into TC. although the property is close to the owners home they are extremely nice individuals and would recommend anyone who wants a peaceful experience but not too far away from the city of TC to stay here. Cozy and comfortable accommodations!"

"Gayle and her sister Alison provided the perfect jumping-off point to visit Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. The cute little cottage is fully appointed, complete with kayaks, firewood, a well-stocked kitchen and two full baths. It was a comfortable place to hang out after long days. The little lake made for beautiful, peaceful kayaking, and the distance from the city allowed for great star-gazing. Our visit there was a wonderful way to combine the peaceful setting in the woods with the hubbub of the touristy cities. Gayle and Alison couldn't have made us feel more at home and offered more than a few ideas off the beaten path so that we could avoid crowds sometimes."
