"The room was spotless and classy with some local chips and water in the rooms. Excellent for our small dog with amazing views and walking paths. I would also recommend a local breakfast spot Ames Street Cafe. We talked with another guest and we both enjoyed the home made local food. The rapids right next to the hotel was fantastic for wildlife and cool scenery. Short walk see the Elk River to flow into the east bay. It would be a great opportunity for a summer stay if you can get a boat slip. Great hospitality with a fresh modern look. No fears with this not being a large chain. We hope to return soon."

"We had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren. The weather wasn't great but the home is large enough to spread out and enjoy. The lakefront is beautiful. We did get to spend some time outside (rained on an off) and it was nice. A little sandy beach area for the little ones to enjoy, which they did. A much appreciated large grass area. We setup soccer nets, badminton-volleyball net, plenty of room outside to enjoy! The location is great, close to downtown Elk Rapids and restaurants. "

"This *could* be a very nice property, with better maintenance and cleaning. Biggest drawbacks include poor-to-no AC on the second floor (so bedrooms were uncomfortably hot) and an overall dinginess. (They need to find a better cleaning service.) No window treatments on a number of east-facing bedroom windows means the sun comes blazing in very early. (We ended up buying some cheap curtains at Meijer and hanging them with Command hooks.) We never could get the main-floor TV to play the listed channels - and we're pretty tech-savvy. Communication was problematic; we reached out to the hosts about a week before we arrived but didn't hear anything for several days, and then the lock box code they gave us was wrong. (They resolved it quickly, but it was a little aggravating after driving for several hours.) The property looks great online, but in its current state it is very overpriced compared with comparable units close by."

"This house was fantastic! My family made terrific memories here this summer. The house was the perfect size with a great dock that we thoroughly enjoyed. The house was well stocked, clean and well cared for. The water was as clear as glass and the house was near so many cute towns and destinations. We loved it all!"
