Georgetown Hotel Guide - University of Guyana hotels in Georgetown, Guyana.

"To say this place needs a complete makeover would be an understatement. The photos on the site were not what the apartment looked like. The furniture was plastic-made. The "stove" was a hot plate placed on a plastic table. There was exposed wiring, the walls needed painting/ cleaning, and there was visible residue on the walls. The pillows were so flat and overused that they could not support a human head to sleep. There is no 24-hour front desk staff as stated. The building has no generator as backup for numerous blackouts. The water will also stop running during the long and steady blackouts. The sheets are old and grainy. I am not one to leave reviews, but this place was so bad that I want to save whoever is willing to read this review from making the same mistake I made. Do not be fooled by the photos. The building looks ok from the outside and is secure, the wifi works, and there is no blackout. "

"Front desk staff does not speak much English, standing there, waiting and they busy talking mandarin to each other for a long time. Information is limited due to language at check-in and check-out. I had to find my own taxi when checking out busy attending to local people buying breakfast coupons. This is English speaking country and front desk is face of the hotel."

"Both Dylan and Rachel very helpful. Breakfast needs a lot of work (sausage nearly every day) some fried cassava, sweet potatoes. Tennis rolls with cheese, butter flap. Come on guys "

"Location is absolutely on point, quiet, safe and accessible to the main roads to and from the city. Easy access to businesses and marketplace along with so many restaurants nearby. The surroundings of the facility is well kept and the units are clean and feel like home away from home. Owner is very responsive the staff is quite accomodating. Will definitely stay here again."

"The staff here were mostly lovely, really friendly and helpful. I got cooked proper dhal rice and pumpkin and that was really all I wanted. If you want super luxury go to the Marriott and hang out with the suits. I wanted something more authentic. Careful though, keep your head on a swivel at all times in Georgetown, don't go down the wrong street, etc etc"

"Just got back from a week at 592 Hospitality. The staff were so helpful and friendly, they were always available for any questions we had. The building was clean and secure and I loved the location! Smooth check-in even though it was the middle of the night. Would recommend and will definitely be staying here again. "
