"The property was nice until we got into our room. The TV did not work correctly. The bathroom door looked like it had been in a flood and was almost molded and warped on the bottom. Long black hairs in the shower. Air conditioner was super loud. The Starbucks was never open when it was supposed to be. It was our first time in SPI....the island itself is beautiful but do not stay here. Spend your $$ elsewhere."

"Awful! Our AC leaked water all over the tile, the deadbolt on our door didn’t lock. Jeanette at the front desk was incredibly rude after we contacted Expedia. She told us she sent maintenance up, w/o even asking our concerns. He then came in, drilled the door, vacuumed out the AC, and left. He didn’t speak English, so we weren’t sure the next steps. Front desk never followed up. AC continued to leak for remainder of our stay. We had to lay towels down. Water leaking on a tile floor equals lots of slipping hazards. We tried to leave the property, but Expedia and the hotel refused to refund us. Sending a maintenance man to the room w/o even confirming our concerns, not being able to communicate AND no follow up from Jeanette was insane. Our stay was awful! Awful! We would still like to be compensated for our awful experience. (Additionally our bathroom shower was disgusting, advertisement of bar and grill is incredibly inaccurate given the small pizza shop, and most staff was not friendly) I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone!"

"Overall, my stay was okay, but it was disappointing compared to what was advertised. The pictures online made the resort look much nicer than it actually was. Upon arrival, it felt like a completely different property, which came across as a bait-and-switch situation. The resort was under construction/remodeling during my stay, and that created several issues. I had to be moved from one room to another, the elevator frequently had problems and even got stuck, and the room key cards often did not work properly. The bright spot of the experience was the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job and was one of the best parts of my stay. While the customer service was great, the overall condition and appearance of the resort did not match the expectations set by the photos. I hope that once the renovations are completed, the property will better reflect what is being advertised."

"Overall decent experience. Kids liked the pools and beach access. It is an older building and it shows in places. The kitchen stuff in our unit was highly used, broken blender etc. The plumbing was problematic and had to call maintenance twice. Also avoid the ice machines... if you look up the shoot you'll find pink mold. We will probably look at other options next time."

"This place is great the location to get in not so much but the hotel over all was incredible from the pool to the hot tub the employees the family suite all of it and the ocean was less then a 5 minute walk you have your own private gate to go in and out of as well so only guest from this hotel can go and come from "
