Upper Harbledown Holidays

The room is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the VIP room and had views of planes landing and would have to walk down the corridor to watch planes taking off. There are only 4 VIP rooms so it’s the luck of the draw what you get. The room is perfect, comfortable, clean, close to departures and literally perfect if you’re flying from the south terminal. You get 20% off at Giraffe or Weatherspoons which is a nice touch. Definitely a nice stay especially travelling with young children, if you’re trying to avoid train delays or simply cannot wake up early in the mornings before your flight. Reasonable stay prices. I cannot fault this hotel at all.

Really good hotel and really good room. Superbly comfortable bed. Staff were super friendly and great restaurant. So close to north terminal with access via shuttle to south terminal.

Good room for a brief stay overnight and proximity to Gatwick. The sink was blocked in the room. However, the restaurant was awful. The service was terrible, with our order forgotten, and took over 1 hour to come out. Drinks to over 20 minutes. When it did arrive, it was not the quality expected of a Marriott with the meat poor quality, the cesar salad full of mayonnaise. For two mains and two drinks it cost over £70. Do yourself a favour and avoid the restaurant
