The location was perfect, excellent staff. Miguel was exceptionally helpful. However the train noise by the hotel was somewhat unsettling, slept with ear plugs..
Great hotel in south Burnaby, Metrotown! Place looks brand new. The restaurant is top notch too and plenty of dinning options around too. Will come back again when in Vancouver area!
We booked a room for a weekend trip for its convenient location to the SkyTrain. We stayed in a two queen size beds on the third floor. The room was clean and staffs were friendly and accommodating. They also have a small gym with good equipment. This hotel does offer paid overnight parking which we opted for since street parking wasn't convenient for us. Overall, I'm satisfied with my stay at Hyatt Place Metrotown.
Fine stay, liked the location next to the expo line. Rooms were quite bare, small closet, no drawers. A bit sparse for a 4 nite stay. Liked the location and parking.
I’ve visited Vancouver 4 times in the last 4 months on business. I’ve stayed at 3 different hotels in the Metrotown area. The Hyatt was the nicest of the three. It was clean, modern and the staff were very friendly.
This Hyatt Metrotown hotel is brand-new so it looks pristine (and even smells) like a very new and modern building!!
The rooms feel like a modern condo with wraparound windows offering panoramic views!
Our overall experience was 100/100! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and well-maintained, and housekeeping did a great job keeping it spotless throughout our stay.
We were fortunate to be given a room with an amazing city view, which made our stay even more special. The staff and reception team were friendly, approachable, and always willing to help.
The location is absolutely perfect. The SkyTrain station is right in front of the hotel, making transportation incredibly convenient. There is also easy access to Metropolis at Metrotown, restaurants, shops, and other essential stores.
Overall, this is the best hotel experience we’ve had in our two years in Canada. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver!
Location is great. Close to shopping, restaurants, and subway. Nice hotel.
The only downside to our stay was that our room was not ready at the advertised check-in time, which resulted in an unexpected wait. What was more disappointing was that the situation was not proactively addressed. Had we not voiced our concerns, it appeared that no accommodation or solution would have been offered.
Once we spoke with staff, they did provide complimentary breakfast for one day of our stay, which we appreciated. It was a nice gesture and showed an effort to make things right. However, when a hotel falls short of its own service standards, it would be preferable for management to proactively acknowledge the inconvenience and offer a resolution, rather than waiting until guests become frustrated enough to raise the issue themselves.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Vancouver Metrotown for about three days, and overall I had a great experience. The hotel had only been open for three days when I checked in, so there were still a few small things being worked out, but the staff were absolutely amazing to deal with. Everyone was friendly, helpful, professional, and really made the stay enjoyable.
The location of this hotel is honestly one of the best parts about it. If you’re visiting the Lower Mainland and need easy access to Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, or other surrounding areas, this is an excellent central location. The SkyTrain station is literally right in front of the hotel, and Metrotown Mall is right across from the station, which makes everything extremely convenient.
The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and comfortable. It’s not a massive hotel, it’s only around 10 stories and has approximately 120 rooms, mixed with condominium residences in the building, so it feels more like a boutique-style hotel rather than a huge busy tower. They also have a nice restaurant on-site that’s a decent size and convenient for guests.
One thing I absolutely loved about this hotel, and honestly have never really experienced this well anywhere else, was the blackout blinds in the rooms. They have full blackout blinds that make the room almost completely pitch black, with very little light coming through. If you enjoy sleeping in a dark room like I do, this is a huge bonus. They also have daytime blinds if you prefer
Rooms are clean and hotel is clean. There is no sound proofing between units or the outside. Beds are super soft and pillows are almost nonexistent, they squish flat instantly. There is 0 storage in the rooms so if your there multiple days or have more than 2 people your living out of a suitcase. The two queen rooms are two doubles not two queens beds are very small and short I’m under 6 ft and my feet hung off the bed. Breakfast was not good, it’s only $10 but very limited options and nothing is hot or fresh. Expedia has changed their listing but it is $27 per day which wasn’t listed when I booked. Would not recommend for a family but would be great for business travel or short stays
breakfast buffet was excellent. hotel parking is very secure and fees were reasonable price. staff were excellent in customer service. room was nice and clean and housekeeping kept it clean daily. hotel is walking distance from the biggest mall, metropolis, and walking distance from the skytrain and nearby restaurants which were excellent. i would stay here again next visit.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
First, the positives: great location, very clean, nicely appointed, and a generally friendly staff. Items needing improvement: room thermostat didn't function well. The room was always cold, no matter what it was set to. The bathroom fan didn't work at all. Even though staff came by quickly to "fix" it, the water pressure in the shower was very low, making hard to rinse your hair. The staff was overwhelmed and under-prepared for weekend breakfasts. The TV was buffering often, making it difficult to watch. Disappointing during World Cup games.
Great location; impeccable view. It's a new establishment. Somethings might not be as you expect, but the staff make up for it greatly and provide whatever you need.
If you plan to watch tv, just be aware that their tv service provider has issues and the tv freezes every 5 min for about 30 seconds. I missed critical parts of World Cup futball matched :( I assume the management is working on fixing this in near future.
We were nervous about arriving by train after midnight, but the process was absolutely seamless to get from Vancouver to this hotel. We were so relieved when the front desk was staffed by three people at check-in. All staff were friendly and helpful, we had a beautiful view, and the nearby area had plenty of food and shopping available.
The front desk staff were wonderful. They were so helpful with things to see in the area as well as restaurant recommendations.
The entire group was truly there to make sure that guests had a great experience. We will definitely be back again.
