Relax and unwind in our tastefully decorated waterfront vacation home. This single story well-kept home comes with 2 full and 1 additional inviting bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms that will sleep six for true hospitality. Two bedrooms have Posturepedic mattresses and hypo-allergenic pillows for your peaceful and restful sleep. The third bedroom/multipurpose room has queen size sleeper sofa.
Both bathrooms are conveniently attached to the bedrooms. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and comfort of watching SMART 4K UHD TV with UHD Netflix in living room and SMART TV in Master Bedroom. Fully equipped for your entire cooking needs kitchen has a lovely eating area overlooking lake. Other amenities include dishwasher, fridge, stove, and microwave. Kitchen and living room have accesses to spacious lanai and private pool. House has a garage and very big driveway as well as washer and dryer for your convenience. Roomy and airy living and dining room have sliding doors which can be fully opened to lanai on a cool day to enjoy coastal breeze. Secluded backyard has tropical garden with mango and avocado trees. In season you can enjoy fresh fruits.
The house is located in the quiet, family friendly and welcoming community of Venice Gardens. With close proximity to public tennis courts, championship golf courses, parks, schools, local restaurants and beautiful beaches you sure to have wonderful vacation.
The area is designated bird sanctuary and from our lake view backyard you will enjoy bird watching all day long. Occasionally you will see an alligator or two swimming graciously in the lake.
Bring your boat trailer – boat launch is nearby at Nokomis Jetty.
Venice, FL is the “Shark Tooth Capital of the World” and the Caspersen Beach is one of the best shelling beaches in the world and an excellent spot for finding prehistoric shark teeth! There are nature hiking trails travelling through freshwater and saltwater marshes, mangrove areas, tidal flats and outstanding opportunities for exploring and learning Florida wildlife.
The Centennial Park’s gazebo is the site of frequent free concerts throughout the winter. The Detwiler’s Farmers’ Market is excellent destination to chat with locals while you are buying local produce for your healthy and delicious meals.
Two hours’ trip brings you to magical world of Disney.
House is also close to Warm Mineral Springs. Only 15 minutes’ drive will take you to HEALING WATERS of Warm Mineral Springs also called as “Fountain of Youth”.

Wonderful home close to beach and shops

Gregg is a super nice host! My family stayed a full week and thoroughly enjoyed the house and pool. We would stay again if we have the opportunity.

Great getaway with a fantastic pool!

We had a fantastic stay at this home! The highlight was definitely the pool—our kids absolutely loved spending time there, and it made our vacation extra special. The house itself was comfortable and well-equipped, and although we encountered a few minor maintenance issues, the owner was incredibly responsive and took care of lt right away. We really appreciated the prompt communication and attention to detail. Overall a great experience!

We stayed a week in the home to vacation and visit family friends in the area. The home is comfortable, clean, and conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and beaches. Enjoyed the pool and backyard setting.

2 month stay in Venice Gardens

Property was "as advertised. Location was excellent for ease of access to Venice and the surrounding area. Bird life was especially good for viewing in the back yard and we had at least 3 small alligators in the lake. Interior of the house was clean but could use some further maintenance (eg not all the blinds are in good repair.). Host was responsive and easy to work with.

Property is in a great location to downtown Venice, shopping,restaurants, and beaches. We really enjoyed the Lanai and heated pool. Had a great time watching the birds and wild life.

House was as pictured in the listing. Enjoyed bird watching from the back yard every day. Pool was a nice extra, kids wished it was heated to a warmer temperature. Plenty of space for a family of 4! Proximity to the beaches were within reason too.

Another Lovely Stay

This was our second stay at this property. We had a great time! The property had all the necessities and then some and the location is very convenient. Whenever we were not at the beach we enjoyed the pool and bird watching. Absolutely will plan to book again in the future.

First impression outside was an eye sore. Grass and plants around house was grown up and need cutting badly. Surrounding houses lawns was cut and neat. House was very clean. A little updating especially furnishings in living room and removing the couch in the screen patio, would make this more pleasing place to stay.

The house was found to be in clean order. We found everything we needed for our short stay.However, the landscape could you a tidey, as well as the garage. As a former landlord, I understand not wanting to spend money on a property. But a few bucks would go a long way with this property renting for more money.

Not worth the stay

Overall the property was clean, furniture is outdated, but clean. Pool area was nice. Outside of property was definitely not the same as what the pictures depict. Landscaping was dead and there were dead bugs stuck all over the entrances. The biggest issue is that the air conditioning was not cooling the house. We arrived at 10pm and the inside temp was 83. We set the thermostat to 72 and there was no cold air blowing from the vents. So we decided to stay in a hotel for the night, came back the next morning at 9am and the inside temp only went down to 79. We made several attempts to discuss this with the owner, but the owner did not believe us, even though we had pictures and videos and called us liars several times. The owner was rude and unwilling to resolve the problem. We've been renting from VRBO for over 5 years and have never had such a bad experience. I'm sure the owner is going to say something negative about us in a response, but my review is based on facts.

This was our third stay at this property and we had a fantastic time again. Short drive to several beaches and close to restaurants and shopping. Relaxing in and by the pool is always a highlight. Cannot wait to book again!

Had a wonderful stay. Home was in a great location. Home is a great choice. The only issue is the grass was quite long and the shower curtain was dry rotted, so we replaced it, so that water would not get everywhere. Nothing major. We would stay again.

House was clean and had up to date appliances. The property was set on a river with many varieties of birds which was enjoyable. Neighborhood was old and some what run down. All and all enjoyed our stay

Venice Lake House

The home was comfortable, clean and quiet. The lanai, the pool and the view of the lake were very relaxing. Our only recommendation would be to upgrade the beds in the 2nd bedroom to full size beds. Twin beds are a little small for adults or older children. Overall it was a great stay.

Amazing location and pool

What a beautiful view! We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our family. With 2 toddlers, I really liked how the master bedroom opened up to one of the spare rooms so I could keep an eye on them.. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is the master bed was extremely uncomfortable. We ended up purchasing a foam mattress topper which helped a lot. Thank you for letting us stay. Hopefully, we will he back soon.

Birds!

This rental is on a bird sanctuary. If you’re a bird nerd, you’ll love this place. I would highly recommend bringing binoculars for bird watching if that’s your thing. Lots of bird books around the house for reference. This house is located in a residential area rather than tourist area. It was close to everything via car. It was wonderful to have the private pool to relax at the end of a busy day.

House is in a nice location

The house was Ok. The furniture is old and the house is in need of repairs. TV was spotty which frustrated my husband. The orange plastic fence around the pool killed the vibe. It just needs comfy furniture that will fit a group of four and good internet and cable. Just a little TLC and it would be a great place.

Clean and comfortable

The home is older but was clean and comfortable and the owner was very responsive when needed. Venice is a great place and this house is close to everything. Unfortunately hurricane Ian destroyed the pool cage and it's awaiting installation which friends have told me takes months. It's no fault of the owner but that took away from the outdoor enjoyment. Some new lounge chairs for the lanai would also be helpful .

great property, disappointing customer service

We have had lovely vacations at this home for February 2020 and February 2021. We are very disappointed that the owner leased the home for Feb 2022 to another party, knowing that we love this home and look forward to staying here each February. It would have been nice to be given the opportunity to lease before he pursued other parties.
