Beach Activities Near Verona

In nearby Lake Garda there are plenty of beach activities to avail of. This includes swimming and a variety of water sports including paddle boarding, kite surfing and canoeing. Surrounding the lake are also the beautiful Alps, with sports such as canyoning and climbing made available in the north. Failing all this, you could very easily spend your days sunbathing by the lake and taking a dip in the water when you feel like it.

Popular beaches at Lake Garda include Spiaggia Tifu in the historic town of Limone sul Garda, a family-friendly beach; The Bay of the Sirens, the eastern part of the lake that is well-known for its delicious variety of trattoria restaurants.

There is also the wonderful Riva del Garda, a hotspot for windsurfing and plenty of bars by the lake if you would rather look from afar.

For proper beach feels, Lazise, a sandy beach in the southern part of the lake is a go-to spot for beach lovers. The relaxed beach does get busy so get down early to secure a spot.

When visiting Lake Garda, expect to find incredible lakeside trattorias, where fresh seafood, pasta and Italy’s best wines are available. It is hard to beat the much-loved Italian cuisine and at Lake Garda you will get an incredible experience of it.

Between Verona and Lake Garda is the famous wine-growing region of Valpolicella, where it is possible to take a tour and spend an afternoon at the vineyard. North of Lake Garda is also the Garda Trentino region, which has equally good wines available for tasting.
