The hotel failed to let us know prior to the booking that the room we reserved was not for dogs when the booking instructions did not include any information on such. Not only was the process lengthy at check in because the staff seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing—They ended up downgrading our room to the last pet friendly room they had available which was far different from the executive suite we had initially planned staying in. The room was extremely dirty, noisy, had no view, and felt like we were staying at a low end motel. My partner and I both agreed if we had known prior that these were the only kind of rooms available for people with pets we would have never chosen to stay here in the first place—we kind of felt scammed out of our initial room considering we had paid more to be in a nicer space. Very dissapointed to say the least and would not stay here again.

Room was clean and complete with mini kitchen. Parking is reasonable and easy. Check in and checkout was a breeze. Staff were helpful and always smiling. Complimentary breakfast with a view of the garden and lots of choices too. Property is a short walk to the harbor and the legislature building. Will stay again here on our next visit to victoria
