Wonderful little house in the Aran Valley

Beautiful and cozy stone house in Escunhau, in Vall D'Aran, 2.5 km from Vielha and 20 minutes from the slopes of Baqueira - Beret.
Ski and snow sports have an extraordinary prestige in this area, due to its geographical location and facilities.
Spectacular paths for hiking.

In summer we can make numerous excursions in the surroundings in the middle of nature.
In the neighboring town, Arties, we can find a very good gastronomic offer and an outstanding nightlife, through the many music pubs.
.Escunhau is a small and quiet town, very cozy and in the middle of nature, at 1049 meters of altitude.
Inside the town, we find numerous stately houses, with 15th century windows, and walking through its narrow streets, we arrive at the Romanesque parish church, originally from the 12th century.
.The house consists of 3 floors for 7 people with electric heating by radiators, washer, dryer, TV and all amenities. Totally equiped. In the middle of Nature ideal to enjoy a good walk or to trek. DISTRIBUTION: FIRST FLOOR, dining room with fireplace and balcony and open kitchen, fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher and all kinds of small appliances. 2nd FLOOR, Triple room (bunk bed and single bed), bathroom and double room with private bathroom. BUHARDILLA, with marriage room.
Bed linen and towels are included.
There is a small room at the entrance that can be used for guardaskis. Or to store a small car

Buscábamos alojamiento con muy poco margen de tiempo y tuvimos la gran suerte de encontrar esta fantástica propiedad. Una casa muy cómoda, con todo lo necesario para disfrutar en familia de una maravillosa semana de esquí, a 15 minutos en coche de las pistas ( si no vas en horas punta) y 2 minutos de Vieha, con todos los servicios de compras, farmacias, hospital, restaurantes… La propiedad está completamente equipada con todo lo necesario, en baños, cocina, comedor… sólo tuvimos que colocar nuestro equipaje en los amplios armarios para sentirnos “ como en casa”. El contacto con Laura, la propietaria, fue muy fluido, y nos aconsejó personalmente acerca de lugares de compras, restaurantes, etc . La recepción comodísima , ya que encontramos las llaves en la entrada de la casa en un cajetín codificado. Privacidad completa. Nos tranquilizó mucho saber que a escasos minutos estaba disponible Dori, la persona que se ocupa del mantenimiento de la vivienda, por si hubiera salido algún imprevisto con las instalaciones. Afortunadamente todo funcionaba perfectamente, así que no la necesitamos ningún día. Mi valoración de 5 estrellas resume una perfecta semana de vacaciones en un segundo hogar.

Buen alojamiento en el valle de aran
Casa unifamiliar bien equipada. Bien decorada, funciona bien la chimenea, y resto de equipamiento. La única pega es que el garaje es muy estrecho para un coche grande pero hay aparcamiento en la calle.

Chalet confortable avec cheminée cosy
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce chalet de trois chambres avec deux salles de bain. Le salon avec cheminée est particulièrement agréable. Nous étions cinq et il n’y a pas eu de problème d’eau chaude en étant raisonnables. Le chalet est sur trois niveaux, la route n’est pas très loin mais les chambres sont sur l’arrière. La propriétaire a été très souple pour notre heure d’arrivée et de départ ce qui est très agréable. 15 minutes en voiture des pistes de Baqueira, 3 minutes des bars à pinchos de Vielha ! Une bonne adresse.

Agua fría y un murciélago
La primera impresión de la casa fue buena pero todo fue empeorando. Para poneros en situación éramos 2 matrimonios y 3 niños ( de 3 a 7 años ) , ósea 7 personas la capacidad de la casa. - Primer día de duchas después de esquiar y fuera a -12grados , cuando va a entrar el tercero en la ducha ya no hay agua caliente . Nos ponemos en contacto con la propiedad , la respuesta es que hay 2 termos y que no dan para tanta ducha , así que hagamos turnos . En una casa en la montaña , con ese frío no puede faltar el agua caliente y no puedes esperar dos horas a que vuelva cuando estás helado después de esquiar. A partir de ahí todos los días con duchas de 3 minutos para que llegase agua caliente al último y aún así no llegaba. - Poco a poco fuimos descubriendo que la limpieza de la casa dejaba bastante que desear. - La gota que colmó el vaso fue al tercer día , dormíamos en la habitación del ático y después de llevar observando que había cagaditas de algún bicho que nos aparecían en las sábanas descubrimos que teníamos un murciélago en el cabecero de la cama !!! Tuvimos que deshacernos de él por nuestros medios y después de ponernos en contacto con la propiedad lo único que nos dijeron que ya mirarían si tenían un nido . Un nido ??? Eso nos dejó bastante más intranquilos y aún nos quedaban 2 noches más en la casa . - Lo único que nos ofreció la propiedad para compensar todo esto fue leña gratis . Como comprenderéis no ha sido muy agradable nuestra estancia en esta casa.

Alquiler con luces y sombras
Pasamos la Semana Santa en esta casa. El pueblo es agradable y pegado a Viella, buena ubicación tanto para esquiar como para conocer los demás pueblos del valle. Las estancias de la casa no son muy amplias, la escalera también es estrecha y, como es bastante habitual en esta zona, toda la vivienda se reparte en 4 pisos (a pie de calle garaje, salón y cocina en primera planta, dos habitaciones y baño segunda planta, tercera habitación y baño en la tercera planta). Dejando todo esto de lado, el salón es agradable y luminoso. Recomiendo prestar atención a la descripción de la vivienda, puesto que indica que hasta finales de abril se pagará un importe especificado de leña al día, obligatoriamente al llegar a la casa. Yo cometí el error de no prestar atención a este punto y pensé que era opcional, un servicio más. En absoluto es así, en mi caso pagué leña (por 6 días un importe nada despreciable), con sol radiante y 25 grados en la calle a mediados de abril. Tal cual me encontré la leña en el garaje, tal cual la dejé, pero hasta finales de abril se paga (aviso para despistados como yo).
