"The host was so kind and attentive. If you needed anything she would do her best to help. My husband and and I arrived early afternoon and didn't realize how long of a walk it would be to Vimy. The host has a friend who typically can taxi for cheap, like 15€, but her friend was unavailable so she offered to drive us for 10€, which was kind of her to do. Room was cozy and quiet and the breakfast was delicious. Note, it's not a bad walk from the train station, but if you have heavier/lots of bags...

"We like this hotel chain - is simple, and extremely good value for a family of four. You aren’t getting luxury, but is all you really need for a short stop over. At this one in the chain, the beds were comfortable, and the room a reasonable enough size. Also had air conditioning - was really great to walk into such a cool room on a boiling hot day. The car park felt very secure - we had no problems parking as don’t think the hotel was full, but it was clearly too small for a hotel of this size...

"Returned to this hotel after a very nice experience 3 years ago. The hotel staff and the hotel itself are fantastic. Sadly, the restaurant lets it down. We had dinner at the restaurant, and the food was terrible and overpriced. The restaurant staff were quite rude and unhelpful, including the one at breakfast. So, if you are just staying at the hotel, this is great. But don't waste your money on the restaurant."

"Very nice hotel, but not easy to find,,, keep your eyes open and look out for McDonalds,,, the sign for the hotel is near to it!" The room was lovely, comfortable bed and it had a coffee machine which was a bonus! Only downside was the restaurant being closed, but it was a Sunday and it wasn't busy. I would definitely stay there again!"

"The owner was on hand to greet us and showed us around the property. We were able to use the conservatory and garden, which was an added bonus. Breakfast was decent, with breads, cheeses, meats and yoghurts, plus fruit juice and hot drinks. The owner also offered to make us eggs if we wanted. Beds aren't huge but were comfy enough. Shower was decent. The property advertises having an "Electric car charging station on site". This isn't strictly true; it is just a standard french plug socket at the gate to the property; you will need your own charger. I asked the owner if I could charge my car overnight, which she said was fine but wanted 5euros to cover the cost of the electricity. I worked out that this was fair, as 12 hours at just 2kWh per hour would give around 24kWh of electricity. French default tariff is around 0.2euro per kWh. I explained I only needed about 30% charge, which was the 24kWh (I didn't have time to get more anyway). But in the morning I realised the owner had turned the power to the socket off overnight from 11pm to 7:30am, so I got less than half the charge I was expecting (and in fact needed to get home). So the owner should be more transparent about the fact that it's just a plug socket, and she should not turn it off overnight - if you intend using it, I suggest you confirm this with her in advance! She may not realise that all portable chargers will only give around 2kWh per hour, so they won't break the bank."

"We were left needing overnight accommodation due to issues on the tunnel crossing, so we booked this hotel right at the last minute. There were four of us, and so having the ability to have us all in one room was ideal. Being a dog friendly hotel was also a huge bonus, being as we were travelling with our pets. We paid a very reasonable rate for a last-minute stay, including a fantastic breakfast the next morning. We were also travelling in a large 4x4 vehicle with a roof box, so we needed unrestricted height parking; another huge advantage to this property. If we needed another overnight stay somewhere not too far from the border, this would be my first option in the future."
