"Amazing rooms and amenities, with view of vineyards. We stayed for the weekend to celebrate a family wedding at Cave Spring. There was a convenient food stand across the street and groceries available in nearby Lincoln. The owner was very accommodating and offered his own home to help get ready for the wedding, when there was an unfortunate power outage impacting the local area. Everything worked out as the power came back on line within an hour. Would stay here again."

"Room was clean and esthetically pleasing. There was a bit of mold starting on some of the grout in the shower area, but didn't bother me enough to complain. Balcony was lovely to enjoy a drink and read, although I wish it were cleaner (like a sweep at least). The view over the marina and the lake was beautiful. Will definitely be going back."

"One confusing issue was the check in time. The expedia e-mails say checkin & out times as 3:00 & 11:00 but the host advised it was 6:00 & 12:00. Sophia was great at comunicating with us and did move the checkin time up for us. When we arrived everything went smooth. The instructions were very clear and easy. Host may want to cosider 3:00 checkin time to align with hotels so it dosn't conflict with usual dinner reservations. The rooms and property were clean and beautiful in a quiet scenic area. The only problem was every hour the water pump went off all night long, and because it was beside the bedroom it woke us up every time with a loud buzzing. Next morning had a nice chat with the owner of the property, great guy and really friendly. I mentioned the pump and he said the line had a leak and he had to get around to fixing it. This really needs immediate attention before more guests come in. I would highly recommend staying at this property and would assume the pump noise would be not be an issue in the future. Don"

Great for Couples or Family in Niagara Wine Country

"I am sorry to say that this was the worst experience I have ever had with a VRBO rental. First there was a big confusion when we arrived as there was another party also at the property who thought that they had also rented the unit (although this seems to have involved a different 3rd party platform). We were all going to the same wedding, so fortunately we knew the other party. The second problem was that the room had not been cleaned from previous occupants. So garbage, dirty towels, beds not changed, the whole mess. As we were on a tight timeline to attend a wedding, which I had been very clear about in my communication with the property owner, we ended up have to get dressed and ready for our event in the mess of someone else! Gross!They did clean while we were at our event - although I would not say that it was well cleaned (dusty surfaces, mirrors with dirty streaks, the half bathroom strong smell of urine) - but by then the damage was done as my family did not trust that the bedding was clean (I am not asserting that it wasn't clean, as it may have been), and no one wanted to shower there in the morning. Overall so disappointing and not even an apology from the property owners. It is too bad because if this property was better taken care of it would not be so bad. Also wifi did not work, despite using the password given to us."
