Vive Viterbo

It was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in Italy and I have been here 7 or 8 times. Very helpful young receptionists. Local sites and restaurants nearby.

Great location!

We loved our stay here. The location was perfect, right on historic downtown Viterbo, walking distance to many restaurants, cafes, bars, and shopping. The rooms are brand new, comfy, with all the amenities. We loved our Nespresso coffee machine in the room. We would definitely stay here again as Viterbo is a great base for exploring many other cities and towns.

Comfortable room in smart hotel

Nice modern rooms with lots of nice features including a nice breakfast basket. Also Hotel is centrally located for nearby historic quarter and Papal palace and duomo. There is parking at the hotel with a cost, but as its inside the ZTL its not easy to get there avoiding the one way streets. Spa was still being built but will be nice when done.

Newly renovated, a 5-star gem! Enjoyed my 1 night stay while hiking the Via Francigena. The room included a fridge and cooktop. They provided me with a gift basket of yummy local products. Helpful staff helped me find a clothing store to replace a lost jacket.

A surprisingly elegant and charming modern small hotel in the heart of medieval Viterbo! From the outside, the building looks just like all the other aging, painted stuccoed or stone buildings on the block. But open the smoked glass door and you are confronted with marvelously elegant contemporary Euro design. The small, beautifully-designed lobby/lounge pairs very sittable modern upholstered furniture and glass tables with a library of accessible books on architecture and design as well as local history. While there aren't many rooms (4-5 on the ground floor, a few more above) the ones we stayed in would make any Ikea freak weep with joy. They were models of elegant design, with art objects (vases, woven fabric, glass bottles) on shelves next to the bed. The modular closet wall included shelves that lifted to reveal a sink and ceramic cookplate. There was of course a fully stocked mini-refrigerator. Also included were extra touches such as a gift basket of local products like biscotti and jams and a personalized welcome message on the TV. The hotel is very quiet, despite the fact that there are multiple restaurants and bars nearby and we were there on a summer weekend. The only negative is that someone is only sporadically at the front desk. But you really don't need services once you're in, except for local recommendations. This is a hotel in which it is easy to relax, while you enjoy the marvelous interior design, done recently, we learned, by an architect (no surprise).
