The Mandarin Oriiental is a beautiful charming hotel on the Upper West Side with great atmosphere and a far more welcoming wonderful accommodating staff! The staff was outstanding and the service impeccable. I had a horrendous experience at the hotel I had booked with my mother in Soho that week who lost our reservation and couldn’t care less, even when I showed them it was not cancelled. They were not helpful and we were frantic trying to find accommodations at 1am. My mother had a knee replacement and it was extremely traumatic for her to not be able to lay down and ice her leg and to be treated so poorly while I spent hours trying to re plan our entire trip to see my daughter in college.
We were very relieved to be in the such great hands at the Mondrian Oriental. I can’t say enough good things about every single aspect the staff did to make our stay special! It is truly a gem.

Great hotel, great staff but wow the roof top bar next to the hotel, very loud music till 4am in the morning not good when you have a full day ahead.
