The view of the lake from the deck was so magical especially as the fog lifted in the mornings My husband and I were in Butler for a funeral and the Tre L ar Watauga lake was an excellent retreat as we healed our hearts.Thank you Mike and Jennifer!"

"Great stay!! Cozy place, with fireplace and hot tub. Would advise to stop by the grocery store before coming, unless you’re wanting to travel for food. "

"The house needs to be better equipped. It didn’t even have a cutting board! No amenities like soap, shampoo or conditioner. Usually when we have stayed at other VRBOs there are spices left over and dried goods from other guest. There was nothing in this house. It was more like a hunting cabin! No tvs in the rooms, the pantry door was just laying up against the wall, the fireplace was dirty, there was a knob missing on they stove so you couldn’t even use one of the burners and one on the cabinet doors kept coming off! We come every year to this area for our family ski trip and this house by far was the most disappointing one yet. "

"We went to celebrate my sister‘s 40th birthday and we had the best time! The cabin is beautiful, clean, and all our needs were anticipated. They even left a birthday card for my sister! Highly recommend!"

"We had such an amazing stay at the majesty Mountain Cabin. The place was super clean, and cozy. The stunning views alone were worth the trip.The open living room layout was perfect for our family. It made hanging out together so easy and fun. All the bedrooms were spotless and really well taken care of. Everything felt comfortable, warm and thoughtfully set up with pretty much anything you’d need.Richard - the owner was awesome, super responsive and genuinely helpful. He really went out of his way to make sure we had a great time, which we truly appreciated.We’d definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!"

"Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay here! The host was very responsive and we appreciated the snacks that were left for us. This house has it all - well-appointed kitchen; beautiful bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer; a comfy couch with a smart TV that you can log into for streaming services; and large bedrooms. We enjoyed using the outside area underneath the house and the creek was really beautiful. The house was a little cool, but there are space heaters available for every room, which kept it cozy. The only complaint was that one of the beds was very hard. Also, the mattresses are covered in plastic under the sheets, which made it a little uncomfortable and sticky-feeling at night. We only stayed for two nights, so neither of these was a deal-breaker. We would definitely come back and visit this lovely home again."
