The nearby market town of Ringwood is just a mile away and offers a fantastic selection of country pubs, independent cafés, tea rooms, and restaurants, along with excellent takeaway options. The New Forest itself is within half a mile, placing miles of open countryside right on your doorstep. You will find charming villages, traditional pubs, and sweeping heathland where ponies, cattle, and deer roam freely.
The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with direct access to countless forest trails, riverside walks, and scenic bike routes. Popular attractions nearby include the Avon Valley Path, Moyles Court, Boldrewood Deer Sanctuary, Basford Lakes Nature Reserve, the Heavy Horse Museum, Burley Manor, and the picturesque New Forest villages of Burley, Brockenhurst, and Lyndhurst. Outside, you can unwind beneath clear skies with very little light pollution, making this the perfect spot for stargazing.
The bathroom is a true indulgence, featuring a waterfall tap, handheld shower, additional rainfall shower, heated towel rail, adjustable shaving mirror, and fluffy towelling robes to complete your stay in comfort.
Excellent transport links make exploring the area simple. The A31 is close by, offering easy access to Southampton and Salisbury, both approximately 18 miles away, as well as Bournemouth Airport and Christchurch at around 8 miles. Ringwood is just 1 mile away, while nearby train stations provide direct routes to London and destinations across the South Coast.
Local amenities are close at hand and include a Tesco Express, independent bakeries, off licences, a fish and chip shop, and a local chemist. At the end of the lane is In-Excess Garden Centre, which sells plants and gifts and has a lovely tearoom called Charlotte's Tea Room. Here you can enjoy anything from local bakery treats to a full English breakfast.
There is also a great selection of local pubs. The London Tavern is just 0.4 miles away and offers traditional ales and excellent classic English food. Other popular pubs within a three-mile radius include The Alice Lisle, The Red Shoot, and The High Corner, where local donkeys and ponies can often be seen roaming nearby at certain times of the year.
